See, I can't even really agree with that sentiment either. Goodkind does have sex scenes in his book, but most of them happen "off camera", and even the ones that are described go into far less detail than Martin uses (in fact, I don't think that any one of the last 2 or 3 Sword of Truth books...

I agree 100%. One of the biggest things I liked about the series was the "Space Western" aspect, but the movie really toned that part down and made it more of a straight up sci-fi movie. Too bad. :(

Like yourself, I'm pretty sure that cost is the reason why we didn't see any of the smaller D&D races in the movie. If the movie had been a major motion picture with a larger budget, I'm guessing that we would have seen a more iconic D&D party with a dwarf fighter and a halfling rogue.

In The Legacy by R.A. Salvatore, the dwarves of Mithril Hall battle against a drow raiding party in the underdark, and the dwarves employ boar-mounted cavalry in their tactics. So dire boars do make a good dwarven mount for the Underdark. :)

Well, earlier I got got back from my brother's High School football game (which was very cool because they won :) ) and a few minutes ago I finished a World of Warcraft UD Stratholme run and finally got the Kilt of Elements for my orc shaman. :) Tomorrow I may check out the new Cabella's store...

True, the XBox dosen't have a real wide selection of RPGs. However, I would take Knights of the Old Republic or Jade Empire over any of the PS2 RPGs I can think of. KOTOR is one of my favorite single player RPGs of all time, right up there with Baldur's Gate II and Final Fantasy VII.
