    Paper Minions - WT?

I don't know if it has been mentioned, I bet it has, but minions are just the Crazy 88s in Kill Bill. One swipe and they are down - but they just keep coming (and too stupid to think stuff that I'm off). It is as simple as that. At level 1 if you are fighting 20, 25 Kobold Minions you aren't...

Blinding Barrage daily at first gives you blinding combat advantage.

    Fourth Edition just feels... incomplete

I think what it is is you are comparing it to earlier versions. You could do something and now you can't so it feels like that thing was left out. Others have felt 4E has no feeling of depth - unfortunately that is a con of streamlining and simplification. I think depth/complexity/options will...

0th level, prequel , beginning , commoner. Come inside !

It would be a good idea to keep enemies as low level minions as well. It would be a good trainer for new people because all you would have to learn is the hit bits and not the damage bits. You could chop up level 0 into smaller levels. Level 0.1 BA + At will 1 Level 0.2 BA + At will 2 Level...

    Higher Ground bonus gone?

Higher ground should only apply to Charge and Ranged attacks. Just standing toe-to-toe shouldn't get to use the bonus. Your legs are the worst protected area of your body - less armour, parry, block, shields. If anything when higher toe-to-toe you should a penalty to AC. A famous battle...

    D&D 4E 4e FAQ

There is no reason you cannot sit on Tenser's floting disk, but it will not move anywhere. The disk follows the caster when the caster moves more than 5 squares away from it. EDIT- Missed that. You can command it to move your speed as a move action.

PVP/Penny Arcade 4E Podcast from WotC

What I wish they would do with these things is show a little cartoon like movie of the battle map and counters.

PVP/Penny Arcade 4E Podcast from WotC

Yes - but they are 3.5 I've been looking around hoping someone was doing Keep on the shadowfell or any 4E, then this popped up. Anyway here it is: http://www.rpgmp3.com/ (btw: I'm almost certain Chris Perkins is an aspie - I have aspiedar)

    Fourth Edition is a MASTERPIECE!

The trouble I'm having: I saw the new edition as an increase in options - and mostly it is. The trouble is the choice is not what you can do but what you are capable of doing. So when you choose what you are capable of doing from a massive list you end up with limited options, a little list...

    Sleep spell....overpowered?

I've only seen one mechanic that adjusts saves and that is humans that get a +1. What rules have you found that can do that?

    Intimidate ..too good?

Common sense? Like that's ever going to happen. Besides, quantify common sense. What mechanic does that modify.

    Intimidate ..too good?

How about: Use Intimidate To Force Surrender. The target must be bloodied. The DC is the number of HIT POINTS the target has. (or maybe + Will Defence) If the target is higher level it may make save to run away rather than surrender. The target will run away for 1 round, but may continue the...

    Sling vs. Hand Crossbow?

If I was a rogue I would not use either. Rogues get +1 on daggers to hit and they are prog +3 but only d4 I would use Shuriken because rogues up their damage from d4 to d6 and they have prof +3. They do not have a load time. Also with Shuriken they fit better with some of their powers...

    Craft/Profession

I would like a non-combat class system. This would be a class that runs with, but mechanically separate, to your combat class. The class would incorporate social class, reputation, profession, craft skills, etc. The levels of your non-combat and combat classes would be separate. You could be a...

    First rule I don't like

You just don't. Ranged and area have enough benefits over melee. Melee is IMO the only way to subdue unless there are some spells that fit it. As for ranged arrows/bolts/stones well you could say they were leg shots or a bonk on the head.

    First rule I don't like

Besides there is nothing to say the creature wants to be taken prisoner. 'You'll never take me alive.' Roll dex vs relflex to knock the dagger from his hand. Or any number of ways to deal with this sort of thing. Another thought - if you opt to subdue at the end rather than just kill then...
