    Gangbusters and Gangbusters 3rd edition

I used to play Boot Hill back in the day... but never Gangbusters. That was one of the few TSR games we didn't try. :(

    Improvements after 3.5

Interesting...I had never caught that they were in there. Apparently that means that 3rd Party Publishers can now use Swift and Immediate actions in their publications?

    D&D (& RPGs) at Work

I've never done this myself, but it gives me new ideas. I can just see my media plans now: "Our target audience consists of adults, ages 25-54, with kids in the household and annual household income of $75,000+ and college education. Oh, yes, and also elven paladins." "What? Excuse...

    Expanded Oriental Adventures

They did this awhile back in an issue of Dragon - updated all the races and the classes to 3.5 and also gave notes on converting feats and spells.

    Wil Wheaton Drops Dungeon Column

Maybe I'm misinterpreting your quote, but I hope you're not saying that the backbone of the hobby is made up of the rude excessive fanboy types who basically were one of the catalysts for Wil to give up the column. I'd hate to think that the majority of the hobby was made up of those types of...

    Wil Wheaton Drops Dungeon Column

I guess I'm your guy. I had never bought an issue of Dungeon until Wil told me that he was writing the column in the back. I sent off for a subscription immediately, but then again, he's a friend so I wanted to support him. I figured giving my dollars to Dungeon with the commencement of his...

Importance of Religion in the Campain

Religion is very important in my campaign, similar to most of the other posters to this thread. I have three dominant monotheistic religions in the campaign, and each think that they have the proper outlook on religion. Worshippers of one religion think that priests of the other two religions...

    Corporate Structure?

Small world... the guy referred to in the press release that Eric posted (Miro Copic) is no longer with Wizards - he's actually a consultant hired by companies that are seeking new ad agencies. That's so crazy - I literally just sent that guy an e-mail last night for my work and I never...

[AU] My favorite Champion cause is...

Figured I'd dredge up a two-year old thread just to see if people have made any new custom champion types. List 'em here! I'm interested in reading them...

    Racial segregation in your world

Racial segregation is a major theme in my campaign. Humans are pretty much everywhere (with one or two notable exceptions). The other races (elves, dwarves, orcs, goblins, and some other scattered humanoids like gnolls) have had to make the decision to either: a) Assimilate to human culture...

    Recommend some Techno Music

I'm not big on categorization because most music I listen to these days crosses multiple genres. Anyway, I listen to a lot of what I guess what be considered "electronic" music. Some of my faves: * Chemical Brothers * Crystal Method * Groove Armada * Thievery Corporation I also like the...

    Interview questions?

I've asked most of those, plus: * How long have you worked for the company? * What's your background (how did you get into the industry, etc.)? * What happened to the person who had this position for which I'm interviewing? (did they leave, get promoted, get let go, etc.)

    Things I LIKE about Mongoose

The OGL license allows Mongoose (or any other publisher) to publish "character creation rules" and provide experience point tables and such. The d20 license does not allow the publisher to do that. That's the main reason why I think OGL Horror and the other Mongoose OGL books are just that -...

    Magic as a corrupting influence...

Okay, I misread the post and gave crunch instead of flavor. The short-short version: Magic is innate to the world, but has been corrupted by outside (kind of like evil planar) forces over the millennia. The last great wizards of the world, thousands of years ago, basically gave themselves up...

    Magic as a corrupting influence...

I use a combination of the Rokugan taint rules, the Conan RPG stuff from Mongoose, and also the section on the Delifers and Preservers that was written up in Dragon for the "Dark Sun" section of the Campaign Classics issue. It works pretty well. In order to not completely nerf my characters...

How big is your gaming group?

The biggest group I was in consisted of about 9 people, I think. People have mentioned most of the main pitfalls already. 1) Finding a mutual agreeable date to play. You might think you're all friends and it's easy, but add in work and school schedules, family and significant other...

    World/Campaign Setting Themes/Flavours

It's mid-high Renaissance (minus the gunpowder) but with scattered "primitive" socieites based on ancient Babylonian/Sumerian city-states and some other ancient earth areas. Most of the world is fairly civilized, but there are many encounters where the modern monotheistic religions encounter...

    Things I LIKE about Mongoose

Well, they did publish the absolute coolest PDF ever. Oh, and I'm still finishing up the second one. :(

Do your Front line characters refuse Enlarge Person?

The wizard player in my group casts it on the main frontline fighter just about every single combat.

    Is your group "High Maintenence"?

I voted the middle thing. Usually things are just fine - we're all friends and/or spouses outside of gaming so things go well. Sometimes one of the players might be having an off-day and it shows during the game, which is really frustrating. I guess that's life, though.
