I have to concur with earlier statements about damage threshold specialists. A player can design a character that is great at targeting damage thresholds (aside from the dastardly strike combo, a Consular using force lightning also comes to mind) but then again that's all they can do. The game...

I think Meteor Storm should be knocked down by 2 levels to make it a more attractive choice. Who in their right-optimized mind is going to take a straight up evocation fire damage spell over other 9th level goodness? It's one of those build "traps" that 3.x got so infamous over.

Same here. I don't think the faster leveling will be an issue, considering many players have never even seen level 20 in their 3.x games.

Well, I'm not too much of a master of the ins and outs of the rules, but generally it's the cleric who is the buffing master. I'm sure at that same level the cleric could buff even better (divine might comes to mind, but I'm not sure what level it is) in addition to Divine Metamagic, which...
