I absolutely continue to use handouts... Using appropriate backgrounds (parchment, sail-cloth, wood, stone, etc.) as needed. I was just saying that my style of DMing only changed in that my handouts are now electronic, rather than physical. ;)

The biggest change is that I am not able to use physical handouts... For example, drawing "treasure maps" in charcoal on "duck-cloth" to represent canvas/sail cloth, or hand-written letters on real parchment, etc.

Indeed, I can continue to use 2nd edition well into my retirement years and still have not used everything. I like mixing Hackmaster into 2nd editon every now and then as well. :cool:

I would think so... I would rule that it provides at least a +1 "synergy bonus" (yeah, I know, that's a 3e term, but it works :p). It could be used in conjunction with Undead Knowledge and Monster Identification for example (proficiencies from AL-Qadim).

I like Dannyalcatraz's idea of using the Slaad for inspiration (though there are several real world creatures that do this as well). The female frog could lay her eggs inside the host. But instead of just laying her eggs and abandoning the host, the charm could remain intact until the eggs start...

What are some of the details that you were thinking about? What size is the frog? Is the frog able to polymorph or shape-change into a humanoid form? These kind of details.

Thank you. Because they are so closely tied, and use most of the same "acupoints", I would just use the same proficiency for both, minus the ability to treat and/or heal poison.

These are pretty clear, definitive statements on your part. And they indeed seemed pretty clear as well as definitive to me when I responded to them, but okay. :erm:

Just because in the past D&D was not unified as a setting, does not mean it is to remain so forever. And that the changes TSR made to make it unified, "didn't count". It's fine that you don't make all of the settings unified, but officially, once Spelljammer and Planescape were released, like it...
