    Lost

I liked that movie and I think it was called Purgatory. I'll look it up on IMDB to see if we're right. I know it had Eric Roberts as a black hat and Randy Quade as Doc Holiday Back on topic, I am starting to buy into the idea that the spirit of the island is causing the thoughts of the...

    Jeremiah the RPG

I love the series and I think Mongoose puts out some great stuff. With this being said, I will most likely buy the book depending on the price

Compiling a list of classic movies & books that inspire D&D

Since I own a lot of fantasy comics, I based most of my D&D adventures around these Despite their cheese, I love these movies especially Ladyhawke and Beastmaster. I once ran a campaign where Dar went through a time portal and allied with Itianne Navarre and Isabell, who gained partial control...

    Non-Jedi and lightsabers

Now I am confused. You said, to put it in easier words, that the bounty hunter's primary goal in life is to kill the dark jedi who killed his father. Now you're saying that the dark jedi was killed by the father's wookie constant companion, which sounds funny IMO, out of revenge. Which is it?

    Lost

Did'nt the kid say that he found the comic? If this is true, my theory is that the scientists could have placed the comic and the bear on the island so it would seem like their thoughts are manifesting. Going by how calm the guy was against a charging animal, and all the bullseye shots, I...

    Non-Jedi and lightsabers

Question; How did the the dark jedi lose his light saber? He won the fight with the father but I don't think he would just leave the the light saber there for any reason short of a mortal wound. Maybe the light saber the bounty hunter uses actually belonged to his criminal father, a non jedi...

    Taking the d20 Modern/Future Plunge!

It looks like I offended a couple people and I'm sorry about that. I should'nt have been so harsh with my comments. Although I still do not like the maps, I'll still stand by that, I did compliment the book on some good plots which I'll definitely use. It is a good book for a beginner and I saw...

    Taking the d20 Modern/Future Plunge!

I bought MB earlier this month and in my opinion, it was crap with a capital C. Although some of the plot hooks were cool, the maps sucked big time and you don't even get many of those. Now for a great map book for Modern, along with the NPCs to go along with them, I suggest Dark Furies's New...

    Lost

So what do we have so far? 1, A giant creature, which we can't see, who makes a mechanical sounding roar and shakes trees without destroying them 2, A polar bear who has been transplanted from the artic to the tropics 3, A decade old request for help, from the same island, the radio picked up...

    Taking the d20 Modern/Future Plunge!

I agree. The Modern Players Companion, from Game Mechanics and Green Ronin, should be the first book on your 'must buy' list right after, or preferably with, Modern and Future. BTW, if you also want some optional rules to go with Modern, you can't go wrong with Grim Tales from Bad Axe Games...

    Ever benched a GM?

He was originally a gaming aquintance who became a friend later. He even joined the new campaign a couple months later as a player.

    The Forgotten

Not to offend anyone personally but most of the 'WANNABE' critics over at RT would'nt know a good movie even if it came up and bit them on there butts. Wether the Forgotten is good or bad, I won't know until I rent the dvd, I'll make my own mind up rather then being programmed by a bunch of...

    Ever benched a GM?

We have never 'benched' a DM but we did boycot one at a certain point. Here is how it came about. The group consisted of six players and the DM played two NPCs. The NPCs were a couple of high level wizards who hired the PCs as bodyguards and monster hunters for material components. This...

Using d20 Modern / Future for STAR WARS

Great post as usual, Ranger Reg. Ewheeler,,, I can understand why you and your group are hesitant in getting the Star Wars core book. WOTC is a very greedy company and they'll most likely revise the core book to fleece us, the hardcore fans, out of our money. I'll definitely buy it just like I...

    Darklight D20

I would run a Darklight campaign using one of the various superhero games out there. Personally, I did'nt like the movie but it had some cool concepts. I'm thinking of statting up Lilith and Talus for M&M

    WWII d20?

Actually, it was Dungeon rather then Dragon. With this nickpick aside, our group ran a basic VFV campaign for a couple months. Then the GM threw some mystical elements, like vampires and zombies, into the game which was great.

d20 books I CANNOT buy (Rant)

Why does everyone say that they have to have a credit card to order online? I hate credit cards and will probably never use one but that has never stopped me from ordering online. I always pay with a money order and never had a problem paying that way BTW, FRPGames, my favorite online store...

I concur with what he said. BTW, if anyone is interested in other Name sites, there's a thread on them in the Conan forum over at the Mongoose boards

Plots/ Cool stuff stolen from Fiction for your Campaign

Being a HUGE fantasy comics fan, I have based literally dozens of adventures off of various Conan and Warlord books. On the modern front, I have had a campaign based off from the Sliders tv show

    Leather Bound PHB Cover Image

A collector's edition? BULL!!! It's just another ploy from WOTC to fleece us out of our money like D&D3.5 is. WOTC is getting more greedy as time goes by and I refuse to support them
