    Monstrous Druid AC...

To throw this in the mix. What happens when a wildshaped druid with wild armor meets a cleric with true sight up? The armor clearly is there and will be targettable ;) The text is clear, normally when you shapechange your magical equipment is absorbed into your normal form and its properties...

    Monstrous Druid AC...

As I said, my answer was slightly snarky rules lawyering. But it seems like your players are doing that, so it is one way to discourage this build without house ruling. As other people have said, if the druid wants to burn all the feats and money to do this his spell casting will suffer alot...

    SR 32 for 37500gp?

Weeeell First off it is just a buff, the enemy can always just cast dispel magic and remove your shiney buff. A simple but effective house rule would be that SR takes a standard action to lower and raise. Majere

    Monstrous Druid AC...

Not to be a rules lawyer but: "Wild: The wearer of a suit of armor or a shield with this ability preserves his armor bonus (and any enhancement bonus) while in a wild shape. Armor and shields with this ability usually appear to be made covered in leaf patterns. While the wearer is in a wild...

    Great cleave

Im not a fan of great cleave. Sure you can "set up" situations where GC might be really powerful if you are happy to leave a half dozen enemies on 10-20 hp. But you look like a bunch of idiots when the enemy cleric casts mass cure serious wounds and then you find 6 enemies surrounding one...

    Balor DR

Cast dispel magic on the vampire Beat the crap out of it with a good& silver weapon. Alternatively just use a silver& good weapon, the stone skin will only last 2/3 rounds vs high level fighters, and only caps the first 10 points per attack. Majere

    Balor DR

More or less You apply the better DR to any given attack, therefore a magical mace penetrates the lich DR but not the raksha DR. Strictly the DR only becomes Good& Magic& Piercing& Bludgeoning if the DR's have the magnitude of DR. e.g. 10/Magic and bludgeoning with 10/Good and piercing. Majere

    Practiced Spellcaster Breaks D20

There was a long thread on this a while back. Basically Theurges are buffing machines, they buff the whole party and still have spells to contribute in combat. They already have lower DC's due to having to spread their attributes over more stats and not having bonus feats for spell focus...

    Why not? Stats above 25-Balanced?

Sounds to me like you just need a more generous method of rolling stats. Such as roll 4d6 take the best 3, or roldl 4d6 (best 3) 7 times, keep the best 6. Majere

    Spellweaver CR10??

I dont believe the CRx= single player of level X. A dragon of any CR could eat alive a single PC of the same level, as could most monsters in the MM. CR's are based on the challenge presented to a BALANCED PARTY. The problem is that a single level X character fails to be an appropriate...

    What's the most/least cost-effective melee style?

TWF does more damage than THF, but only if you take all the feats, and then only marginally so. Therefore TWF is the most cost effective style. Having done the damage analysis the main problem is the 2for1 PA on THF, if you remove that TWF actually becomes a worthwhile technique. Double weapons...

Why does DnD make force you to have magic to get better?

Not to poke fun at people. But what is the point of having a system where instead of them buying +3full plate they buy full plate, get +3 ac from a class based system, and then recieve a tiny fraction of normal treasure. All this amounts to is the DM dictating how to spend your treasure. Instead...

What are the odds? - Stat geeks help!

    Here are my answers (with working !) 1) What are the odds of me rolling a single natural 20 out of the four dice I roll for a normal round? P(Not rolling a 20 if I roll 1d20)= 19/20 P(Not 4d20 not rolling a 20) = (19/20)^4 = 0.81450625 P(At least 1 success) = 1- P(0 sucessess)= 0.18549 2) What...

Death Ward vs Shadow's Str Drain

Other side of the coin Without deathward supposedly low CR encounters become instant death jokes. DM: Ok, so in the suprize round 8 shadows come out of the floor and take one attack, against your ac of 14. DM: ok only 4 hits so that is 4d6 str loss for.. 14 points. Player: I only have 12 str...

    Wingover + Charge : Legal?

No you cant Charge = full round action It specifically requires you to move in a straight line without turning. The creatures maneuverability has nothing to do with wether or not it can do this, you simply cannot turn during a charge. Im also not sure you can charge while flying. Majere

    flaming sphere and invisibility

Gah Too many rules lawyers, not enough gamers. Attack = Im trying to hurt you, its all intent. Invisibility has always been about intent. If you try to DIRECTLY injure someone, you become visible. If you do it indirectly you get away with it (GF summon monster). If you do it unknowingly...

Hide in Plain Sight Versus True Seeing

Actually, HiPS IS mundane hiding. HiPS is a (SU) ability that allows you to make a hide check when normally you couldnt. The hiding itsself is a normall hide check; a skill check opposed by spot. The only thing strange is that a (SU) power extends when you could use that skill, in the same way...

Hide in Plain Sight Versus True Seeing

Liquidsaber, your not reading the text correctly: "You confer on the subject the ability to see all things as they actually are. The subject sees through normal and magical darkness, notices secret doors hidden by magic, sees the exact locations of creatures or objects under blur or...
