Actually I thought tackling it from more D&D style angle would be fun. Having a typical pseudo medieval world under the yoke of the Go'uld, with PC's striving to drive them off their world.

Yeah, well I generally look on Paladins as champions of certain religions rather than an alignment. Thus I could see say Hextor having evil Paladins or Blackguards. Of course is doesnt make sense for all religions to have champions, like say Eldath in FR.

Ahhh right. Here's a link to some online reading if your interested. It has tech like genetic engineering, hi-tech healing, energy weapons, etc. A bit more advanced than steampunk.

Lately I've been thinking that Crossgen's comic Scion would make a rather interesting universe for a 3e campaign. More or less a D&D style world with a mix of hitech bits as well. Anyone use this kind of world for a setting?

Personally, I'd go further allowing Paladins of all alignments. I actually toyed with turning Paladins into a prestige class to match Blackguards...or the reverse.
