    Ruthless Ruffian, Anyone ?

If you're like me and you took a plethora of powers that are minor, free and interrupt powers, (although, most are not rattling) you will get you +STR to rattling mace attacks more than once per round - possibly putting you over the top of Brutal Scoundrel.

    Highest Level 30 Rogue Damage...

Check MP for more minor action powers, I am sure there are a few gems at higher levels.

    Ruthless Ruffian, Anyone ?

After a near-TPK I got the chance to create a rogue from Martial Power. In the past, I have played an Artful Dodger from level 1-3 and was pretty impressed by it. Looking through the MP at first glance, it seems like they nerfed the power level of Most Powers to be less powerful than the ones in...

D&D 4E What is the spirit of 4e?

I think that taking a warlock and keeping all of the numbers and stats intact and completely re-writing the descriptions to fit your battle mechanic artificer's intent (with steampunk weaponry ) is the best route for what you want.

    MP Rogue Feat Question

There is a question I have about a elven rogue feat in MP. It states that if you spend your elven accuracy on a target that grants you CA and you miss with your elven accuracy roll, it is not expended. Can you just activate it again then ? Does this give an elf rogue an auto-hit encounter power ?

    Grading At-Will Powers

Disheartening strike feels like it should be an A. A- at least. If you are a ruthless ruffian it is patently better than sly flourish. The -2 to all attacks the enemy makes is enormous. I will follow up after more play.

    Adventurer's Vault masterwork armours

That's exactly what we are looking for - Where it is said (by CS) that past a certain threshold, that all enchanted armor must be made from masterwork materials. We (In the game I run) assume that it is made through a magic assisted process - not accessible to the normal armorsmith - and every...

Eladrin Rogue Questions - skills and feats ?

I have played a rogue - It was a lot of fun. Here are a few pointers. I agree with the posters above that weapon damage is almost a non-issue with rogues : They need the Sneak Attack Damage. 1) + to hit in 4e is way more important than damage. 2) As a rogue, the bulk of your damage...

    layoffs?

Yes, wizards dropped the ball. They should have had a TON of peripherals ready 2 - 4 weeks before the core books came out or on release day. Game aids - counters, dice, Power Cards, and more should have been made. It sounds like they are still in the works - don't fault them for that. Bottom...

    Healing Surges

Let me say that I am one of Falstaff's players and I was probably the one that prompted his question - I assumed that losing a surge when at zero surges killed you outright. I thought being reduced to lvl 0 in 3.5 did the same thing. And yes, before you tell me these are two different games, I...

    Consecrated Ground

I seem to remember reading an article by one of the designers that stated otherwise - that you could use any power at any time - in or out of combat. Maybe I'm wrong though.

    Spellscarred Traits ?

Has anyone else been as frustrated as I have over wizard's seeming abandonment of spellscarred traits ? Are there any you feel you want to add ? The ones in the frpg seem underdeveloped and with the suggestion to create your own, I wonder how many people have actually done that. Let me know if...

    Combat Tier

I work all day long with a laser cutter and I have been contemplating making grids like this (without the elevation) for awhile. We use tact-tiles now and have loved them for the 6 or so years we have had them. I dont see much use in these - not enough to warrant the cost.

    D&D 4E 4E character creation

This strikes me more as warlock flavor than wizard - have you seen the dark pact warlock in the FRPG ?

    Haunting Reception Question

So to you, there is a clear difference between disappearing and being invisible. I agree with you by the way.

    Haunting Reception Question

I have a question about Haunting Reception from the FRPG - It's a 6th level spellscarred utility power. This power is an immediate reaction that triggers after taking damage from an enemy. When it triggers it states that you "disappear" until the beginning of your next turn. To me, the rules...

CS response to Dying Condition question

I guess I should be more specific. Many people were not sure if dying ended bloodied specifically. It does not.

CS response to Dying Condition question

Hi all ! I noticed there was some confusion on conditions - namely in the "consecrated ground" thread. I submitted a question to customer service and got the following answer back. If Tordek is Bloodied and Blinded and takes enough damage to reduce him to -1 HP, is he only Dying or is he...

Our First Game -- What some non-RPG fans Learned that they want to share!

I would just like to chime in and say that the regular game group I play in had so much fun with 4e that I wanted to try it out with some non-gamer friends also. I took a lot of tips from the posts in this thread and they wound up having an absolute blast ! I also created simplified Character...

Forked Thread: What would you have done?

It seems to me like the greed of the party got the best of them - over XP. In 4e, we began a new tactic : Group XP. Now there is only one xp total and everyone is always the same level. It, like all the other changes in 4e, take a little getting used to. Perhaps if you considered adopting this...
