    2008 Booth Volunteer Sign-Up

Can anyone switch out on Fridaybetween 9:30-4? I'd really like to grab a shift, but I'm a wee overbooked at present? An earlier shift would work better, but that's my definite available time as of now.

Why the merger of two categories?

Thanks to C.W. Richeson, whom I will mention every time I see him online as one of the best damned game reviewers on the planet. :D ;)

    Changeover poll

Well, I'm going to run as an ENnies judge again this year, so I'll be playing a fair bit of everything if that happens.

    2008 ENnie Awards Nominees Announced!

What is the nature of this holiday and how do I present it to my work management so as to take advantage of it? :D

Why the merger of two categories?

For me, most products get at least that amount of time. With late-night readings, reading while waiting to go into work each day, I've often figured the time on a book is anywhere from 3-8 hours (as some books/products are much larger than others). In the close categories or really close...

    2008 ENnie Awards Nominees Announced!

Damn. Punching hard right away, are we? :) I will, to my everlasting shame and regret, admit I was late on the boat with this one. Perhaps it was too many sleepless night judging products, perhaps it was the pessimist in me, believing there was an Awesome Limit out there. But with the firm...

Why the merger of two categories?

I'd definitely like to see us look at some ways of creating greater accessibility for podcasters, fan products, e-publishers alike. I know some ideas are being tossed around, and I'm all for anything that gives a higher level of accessibility to the awards. :)

    2008 ENnie Awards Nominees Announced!

Congrats to all the nominees! As per my pledge I made when I was running as judge (open, direct communication!!!), I'll happily answer all questions that I'm able and will just as happily just shoot the breeze with you about any of the products. :)

What benefit is there for a smart/careful 3pp to use the GSL?

I don't see why they wouldn't. Yeah, you don't get to use a logo and a bit of wording, but there's a lot of restrictions and potential issues you just don't have to deal with if you just plain don't use the GSL.

    Great City Campaign Setting...not 4e...sucks

I'm currently running a heavily-houseruled Rolemaster variant, and I use 0one Games' maps all the time, regardless of system. You can't beat the price or the quality.

    Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder RPG AR3 -- Review

Really? I haven't felt its that radical of a departure thus far.

Pathfinder 1E Paizo Publishing Hires Sean K Reynolds

Congrats to Paizo on another solid move. I continue to be impressed how they're handling the entire Pathfinder project.

    Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder 3PP

This is some really, really excellent news. I'm really excited to see what folks out there will do with this!

    What is Rifts like?

This is as close as I can get to describing Rifts. I lurves it. The system gets flak, but we've houseruled the bits we didn't like for years. Whatever else, its easy enough to change or alter what you don't like. Even if you do hate the rules, IMO its still worth it for the setting.

    What Shouldn't We Miss?

Thanks again for all the suggestions so far! I'll be linking to this thread so the folks who talk to the publishers about entering see a few of the ones we didn't have yet. Keep it up! Remember publishers/fan siters/podcasters/etc can enter themselves at this here link . :) Absolutely!

    What Shouldn't We Miss?

Great! Keep it up! And remember, the products in question actually have to be submitted for us to judge them. :) Which means a few really cool things won't be included, but them's the breaks, I guess.

    What Shouldn't We Miss?

By all means! Any Products of Awesomeness released between last year's nomination period and now!

    What Shouldn't We Miss?

The ENnies judges have been asked to go to some of their forums and ask to see if there are any products from this past year that we should make sure get at least asked to submit for the ENnie Awards. I think I've mentioned a lot of noticed and not-so-noticed games, but what have you liked of...
