    D&D 3E/3.5 Problems with 3.5 I don't wanna see in 4th

As written, you can cast Darkness in total darkness to gain illumination.

    D&D 4E I'm Not Sure I Can Afford 4e

Fair enough. If the cost of D&D and other RPG games, in general, is not a good investment for you, then that's fair. However, books are priced at what the market will bear and obviously enough people feel that the books are worth the cost. I'm sure some people feel that $10 a movie is too much...

Love the Game, Hate the Marketing

I guess most things are a failure then. I've yet to see anything have overwhelming approval on any public board. This is the internet; if WotC gave away free T-shirts with every Player's Handbook, some people would complain that they don't wear T-shirts.

    D&D 4E I'm Not Sure I Can Afford 4e

I've read in various places that computer gamers average around 31 years of age. If that's true, I wonder what the average D&D player's age is? I'd imagine that in your thirties that a new D&D edition wouldn't really be much of a financial burden.

    D&D 4E I'm Not Sure I Can Afford 4e

I must have missed the launch date somehow... WotC as a business, definitely wants to attract newer players. The world-is-a-changin': people are increasingly getting used to the digital world. The success of digital D&D tools such as Fantasy Grounds and eTools shows that there is a market for...

Memo to all 4th Edition Designers and Developers

Hahahahahahahahaaaaa.... The fact that someone is criticizing WotC because "cool" is being used too much is just too funny.

D&D 4E Something for the grognards to like about 4E!

I like this, if only because I can refer to A1-A4 and people know what I'm talking about.

Andy Collin's comments re censoring playtester reviews

I was referring specifically to the NDA and the rights that beta testers have agreed to under those terms.

Andy Collin's comments re censoring playtester reviews

Huh? Andy Collins said that Ari and John had specifically asked permission to comment about 4th edition: "To sum up: Ari and a few other folks asked me specifically if they could talk about their positive experiences, and I said yes. Nobody here asked them to do it, and I'd never want to put...

Andy Collin's comments re censoring playtester reviews

In this regard, WotC is not behaving any different than any other company in the world.

    History repeats itself

I think the grapple example was funny. It also illustrates a rule in 3.0/3.5 that is generally accepted as relatively confusing. If people think that WotC is "mocking" players who like this rule, then they're probably taking it the wrong way. It's a humorous example the design team was showing...

Help me find this D&D Adventure by Gary Gygax

Ok, so perhaps two years ago I was in a campaign where the DM ran an adventure from either Dragon or Dungeon magazine, which was I believe written by Gary Gygax. Due to other reasons, we never were able to finish the module, but ever since then I've been looking for it. Unfortunately, I can't...
