Covenent - What's the Name of the Song?

Anyone know the name of the song used in the trailer for the Covenant? I've heard it before, years ago, but can't think of it.

    No Resurrection.... Clone?

It isn't exactly an easier spell to use anyway. The clone has to be maintained in a specific location and the description of the spell doesn't seem to allow for a fully formed clone to be carried around. If a PC dies, he'd have to wait until the party returns back to HQ to rejoin the game or...

    Playing Online

Just found out that one of my players is moving far, far away and that he wants to continue playing the campaign with webcams and Fantasy Grounds. While I'm all in favour of the idea (hell, his character has become the central story figure for the entire campaign), I'd like to hear some...

    Initiative and Multiple Attacks

Magic is at a minimum in our campaign and the only sorcerer in the party also have fighter levels. He also casts a spell and holds the charge, using a touch attack spell as part of his full attack option. Off the top of my head, I don't think that'll change too much, but platesting during our...

Favorite System that Never Caught On

Earthdawn was sweet. Nice and simple, yet thorough, and every character had access to magic in one form or another. It was one of the only games during the D&D heyday for our group everyone caught onto and asked for more.

    Initiative and Multiple Attacks

Interesting, but would require way too much modifying to the game already, and we have enough house rules and inputs from other d20 systems already to add yet another one to something as simple as initiative. Thanks, though.

    Initiative and Multiple Attacks

Combining high damage with multiple attacks is the killer sometimes. I've had some villains wiped out in one round because of that. Splitting up initiative results gives NPCs a chance to avoid multiple attacks, since simply having everyone bash the crap out of each other to see who falls first...

    Can o' worms- opinions sought

I think everything else is fine (not from personal experience, since we haven't been nominated for anything...yet), but self-nominations are bad publicity. That's just asking for trouble and questions all those others who are nominated. One bad judge, or even the rumours of one, are enough to...

    Initiative and Multiple Attacks

With the PCs in my campaign able to perform up to five attacks in a round, I'm thinking of modifying the initiative rules - making all five attacks at the same time just seems a bit off. So I'm playing around with one of these ideas and wanted to get some feedback as players... 1. The player...

    Question regarding angels

Dungeon #287 had a female planetar on the cover. So now it's official! ;)

    What to start with?

Write what you want to play before anything else. If it sounds good to you and you would pop it in a game in a heartbeat, that's what should go on the screen. You can always tell the passion someone has for their products because you can see they've thought out a lot of detail as a player/DM...

    Question regarding angels

If fiends can have seductive "female" succubus, tempting weak-willed mortal men without access to a viagra spell, then why couldn't angels also have "female" celestials. If you're going to appear before mortal man with a magnificent holy aura behind you to persuade them to do the good thing...

    Evil Disguised as Good...

IF the PCs feel the need to check alignment. Unless they do it with every single character they encounter or house rules are set that the DM automatically tells a paladin PC the alignment of the person standing in front of him, they will probably assume the alignment of the god before thinking...

    NPC classes

We developed a PDF on NPC classes, including the Apprentice. He learns spells at a limited rate as a wizard- or sorcerer-in-training and then takes a test to prove their mettle as a true spellcaster. If they pass the test, they can exchange their apprentice levels for half as much in wizard or...

    Fonts

Found something on the FAQ page... "The majority of fonts on this website are freeware, but a small percentage are shareware so if you decide to keep any shareware fonts please register them. Registration information can be found on the readme.txt file attached." So it's on a case-by-case...

    Fonts

I've checked the site and there's nothing listed on there about licenses, restricted use, or anything. There are a few links on there connecting to OTHER sites that do, so as long as you download directly from 1001 Free Fonts, you should be fine. There is also a download of almost 4000 fonts...

    playing Sounds/music during tabletop games

This site's not great, but it's one of the only ones I've found where you're not required to sign up, avoid pop-ups, or find nothing but a series of dead-end links. http://www.grsites.com/sounds/

    Dopplegangers are a pain.

That's lizardFOLK. You've just insulted the entire lizardwoman population on EN World with that little slip-up. ;) And yes, they can.

    Dopplegangers are a pain.

Don't forget the detect thoughts ability - it can be used at will as a free action and you can come up with some tricky ways to get into an opponent's head and play tricks with them pretty fast, I'd wager... 1. Walk into a room and switch on detect thoughts. If someone within your range is...
