D&D General [rant]The conservatism of D&D fans is exhausting.

I only really started watching wuxia with Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (like oh so many Westerners, I expect), so I'm only really familiar with the modern wire-fu films. Yeah, I kinda consider wuxia films - I guess especially the older stuff - to basically be the Chinese equivalent of the Ray...

Righteous Blood, Ruthless Blades; Wandering Heroes of Ogre Gate; Strange Tales of Songling

So, I picked up Righteous Blood, Ruthless Blades back at the tail end of covid, but never got it to the table (physical or virtual). Has anyone played it? How did you find it? What have you done with it? As I understand it, RBRB is derived from Wandering Heroes of Ogre Gate, as is Strange Tales...

That emphasis on characters and sects is what I was focussed on, coupled with your talk about running mafia campaigns (and what is Vampire if not a supernatural mafia game?), led me to perhaps assume there was slightly more overlap with my own style than is necessarily accurate. I must admit, I...

Broadly speaking, yes. Though a lot of elements that originated on the Forge morph due to imprecise usage in the broader RPG community (such as the exasperating conflation of Narrativist with narrative). I don't doubt. Though I would point out that I did mention my observations were from...

    D&D (2024) Eberron - skycoaches and bastions

I'm aware, and I noted the map in question makes it the length of a bus. But based on D&D's 5ft square grid, it's occupancy is more like a people carrier in function.

    D&D (2024) Eberron - skycoaches and bastions

Now that you mention it, I can't recall one either. I've always treated them like a gondola, though.

    D&D (2024) Eberron - skycoaches and bastions

I agree with multiple types of skycoach for different functions, but I'd treat the one in question like a people carrier/MPV.

Oh, for sure. That's exactly what I want with Star Wars, for example: "setting tourism" as some put it, but I'm not interested in emulating the films' arcs.

D&D General Homebrew Witch Class ideas +

I love me a spooky archetype, so I was noodling a homebrew witch a few years ago. I never completed it, but I was looking at a cross between warlock and druid. I'll see if I can dig out my notes when I have a time.

    D&D (2024) Eberron - skycoaches and bastions

I'd probably require a vehicle proficiency myself. It's the length of a bus!

Long time lurker, first time poster. I realise I'm coming into this late, but a few of the more recent posts have hit on thoughts I had a week ago, so hopefully my contribution is still pertinent. There's several threads in discussion that are getting tangled possibly contributing to...
