    Tiefling Warlord for KotS

I decided to make a Tiefling Warlord for KotS. I used the KotS format, and it came out pretty well, except I need a Warlord Utility 2 and Encounter 3. Take a look, tell me what you think!

    D&D 4E 4E PrRC ~v2.7~ FINAL UPDATE May 29.08

Verys, are you going to continue to update the PRRC now that KotS is out? We still have a few previews to go...

    Core Rulebook Questions

I need at least one Warlord Utility 2 and Encounter 3 so that I can create a character for KotS. Thanks!

    Tidbits from PHB Viewing

What kind of action is required to quaff a potion? Do you heal your healing surge value in addition to the potion value?

    Gold! Treasure! Strongholds?

I've been working up a campaign to play when 4e comes out, and I've come across an interesting dilemma. Unlike in Indiana Jones, when the characters take the nifty artifact from the temple, it does not collapse around them. I suppose magical ones might, but most do not, and are probably not...

    Keep on the Shadowfell preview

I read that as "Deranged customers..." If I lived 1/20th as far from you as I do, I'd be a deranged customer in, interrupting you...

Laying out your dungeon - advice?

I place the tiles on a shelf liner to give them traction. This works very well, even when our cats run across the table the tiles stay in place. I create my dungeons using Jai's Dungeon Tiles Mapper, which allows me to create maps using only the tile sets that I have, annotate them, save an...

KotS and other modules to integrate Dungeon Tiles?

Please test out my adventure (see my sig). The dungeon was designed using one set of each Dungeon Tiles Arcane Corridors and Hidden Crypts. It uses almost all the tiles in both these sets. If you are using Jai's Dungeon Tiles Mapper, you can import the following string (you'll have to remove...

Awesome! I loved the "Save the Town" encounter!

Level 23 Halfling Wizard-Roque, Battle Mage, Mythic Shadow

I've updated Lenny here to add a Rogue Cross-Class and the Mythic Shadow Epic Destiny. This really helped flesh poor Lenny out, and I think he'd be much more survivable now. Last weekend my wife and I ran Lenny through an encounter with a Hydra and a couple Hook Horrors. The first time we did...

D&D 4E DnD 4e Previews...What Would You Like To See?

Specifically, I'd like to see: :1: A Rogue Level 1 Daily Power :2: A Level 2 Utility Power for each class. I'm sure there are a variety available, but one per class would be a sufficient sampling. :3: A Level 3 Encounter Power for each class. Again, one per class would be a sufficient...

    Quick Rules Questions

Currently we don't have information about this, but I would expect it to be roughly the same as drawing a worn weapon: a minor action. It might also be considered a move action, but I doubt it would be a standard or free action. Yes. This gives +5 to the target's defenses. If you mean the...

    Down to At-Wills

I've run and played in several 4E fan games, and I'm continually surprised to be reading about this problem. In our games the diversity of At-Will powers and everyone's mobility in general has kept things lively even after all daily and encounter powers have been exhausted. For example, the...

    Dex vs. AC

I think you should also add the weapon's accuracy modifier as appropriate. A sword might have an accuracy modifier of +3, for example. So that's 1d20 + 1/2 character level + dex mod + weapon accuracy.

    D&D 4E 4e Two Weapon Fighting Power

The problem that I see with that power is that it allows a front-line fighter three attacks per round: Standard attack, Minor Offhand Attack, and Move->Minor Offhand Attack. I believe the best way to resolve this would be to have something more like: Dual Strike • Fighter Exploit 1 At-Will •...

Level 23 Halfling Wizard-Roque, Battle Mage, Mythic Shadow

You'll be happy to know that when I first wrote out the character, everything fit nicely on one side of a page in a steno pad. This included brief descriptions of the feats, but only names of the powers. Then I wrote it on Neceros' character sheet, but I had to use an early version with a...

Level 23 Halfling Wizard-Roque, Battle Mage, Mythic Shadow

True. Any Epic Destiny "features" would have applied, even though there are no Epic powers until 26th. It sure would be nice to have some (WotC: Hint, hint ;) ) I wish I knew. It sounds good, though. I wish we had a level 2 utility power for each of the classes - then we could at least...

Level 23 Halfling Wizard-Roque, Battle Mage, Mythic Shadow

I was looking at the character progression, when it occurred to me that with all the Wizard powers in the PrRC, that I might be able to craft a character above level 1. It turns out, we're missing a lot at low levels, so in order to do this I had to choose a high enough level to have most of...

    D&D 4E Video Review of the 4E D&D Website

I haven't read everyone else's comments on this yet, because I want to give my thoughts with as little outside influence as possible. Just the other day I was talking with a close friend about this very issue. We both love D&D and are excited about what 4e promises to do for the game...
