Eadric et. al. (The Paladin and his Friends).

Yeah, Pseudonatural Soneillon! Also, two updates recently over in SH.

    Aeon (updated 10/9/14)

You say that in a campaign full of epic spellcasters? I suppose there are fewer checks and balances, but still -How would Eadric fare against a "regular" critical from Visuit, or against an epic Implosion variant? I don't have your first-hand experience, of course. Do DCs get out of hand...

How to work a party over?

Hm. I've never heard of that spell (I checked before the first post, the only thing I found was misspellings of Phantasmal Force). Maybe you can create a conversion based on the psionic powers Cloud Mind and Mass Cloud Mind, which are vaguely similar (make PCs believe that a creature isn't...

How to work a party over?

Phantasmal Force was 2e and hasn't been directly converted, but IIRC it was basically Minor Image. You can find the 2e text of it really easily by googling, and see for yourself. (Top 2-3 hits, for me) As for tricks, one might be to take innocent NPCs (Allies or friends of the PCs, for best...

    Making ambush feats usable

I agree that the actual feats are mediocre, but I think the RAW Ambush feat mechanic is excellent. I'd rather fix the feats by a combination of reducing the dice sacrifice requirements and making the feats' effects more powerful.

Sulvriksus - The Truth Coiled in Lies

You're a bit impatient, but this is a really cool idea. I see the Zehir/snakes connection, but I think Vecna fits better -he's the god of secrets, after all, and these hydra-things do tell genuine truths -they're just really protective of them.

Looking for extremely powerful epic monsters

Well. Right now I'm in the middle of exams, but next weekend, I can probably get them to you. What CRs were the target, again? 70 each?

Subsystems as feats (Part one: Martial Adepts)

True. I did some thought exercises, and thought it would be balanced in melee vs. a smart opponent, but I totally neglected to consider ranged attacks. I'll definitely change it, and probably to something completely different, but I'm not sure what, yet. Either way, though, there...

Good spell to cast via Miracle for my evil cleric?

Second Waves of Exhaustion. -6 Str and Dex with no save as a 7th level spell should really blunt his offense. Bonus if you can hit any other PCs with it. (60 ft. cone.) Personally I don't think Forcecage or Avasculate are good cricket. Although I might suggest Fleshshiver, also from the SpC...

Subsystems as feats (Part one: Martial Adepts)

Hi. In my opinion, many of the subsystems/variant systems created by Wizards over the course of 3e (ToB, Binding, Incarnum, and even Truenaming) are cool and interesting, but I don't like to introduce whole new classes and rulebooks to use those options. Instead, I'm planning to make feat chains...

    Skather, Dragonborn Ninja

Cool. Unstoppable Villain clashes a bit with my sensibilities, but I can definitely see why you gave it to him. I might just turn him undead and have him show up in my campaign, if you're OK with it.

Old School Nefarium - Road to Adventure Link (1/20/16)

I was afraid this thread was long dead. It's great to see it isn't. I don't suppose you take requests? ;)

Epic ending combat to 16-level campaign.

That's cool, but the campaign ended, right? And there's not actually a question or request here. So shouldn't this be in the Story Hour forum? Or alternatively, can we see Skather's final stats? :p He sounds like a great villain.

    The Fall of Civilization

Awesome. The sense of history and shared experience you get, using a single setting with many of the same players for so long, is really something special. For some reason, the renegade warforged got me thinking about Master Control... (And is there any activity in your 4e Plots and Places...

    Evil is cool

You say some very interesting things there. To engage with them would derail this thread completely, though. Are you interested in a thread-split to continue this discussion?

    Evil is cool

It's a pretty bleak outlook that can say "the concept of a literal 'good person' is ridiculous and self-evidently silly." Silly, of all things. Say that such a person has not existed or will never exist, all right, but to say that the concept that a person could be good is ridiculous shows a...

A wee bit of PC design...

Hmmm. That is good -it means Mystic Theurge and Practiced Spellcaster are in the bag. On the other hand it means you won't get to use Haste or Persistent Spell (Unless you go with Divine Metamagic, but that's rather tasteless if you ask me.) I considered infusions too, but they're actually...

A wee bit of PC design...

So you're playing an actual 3.0 campaign? That's a rare beast these days. Fun, though. Let's see what we can do. First of all, I wouldn't ask the DM about flaws or Precocious Apprentice -they're kind of dubious. I would try to convince the DM to allow the Mystic Theurge PRC. Even though it's...

    Mobs/Mooks and Whirlwind Attack

And for that reason, I personally don't use mobs. If I really wanted a campaign where a mundane mob could present a danger to an accomplished group of adventurers, I'd run E6.

    Fixing force spells

I give them HP, but I make them vulnerable only to cold iron weapons -it's supposed to be the "anti-magic" material, right?
