    Looking for a Feat

Improved Metamagic, from ELH. Superior to Improved Spell Capacity but unfortunately, you can't get it until level 27. Yes it is superior to ISC, because what are those 10th and 11th, etc level spell slots used for? Metamagicked spells. Well, IM basicly gives you ISC and more spell slots...

Is Dungeons and Dragons 3rd edition broken?

Hehe, now that I've got your attention...anyone else getting a little tired of all the "Is XXXX broken?" Like they say, the internet's given everyone in the world a voice, and apparantly they use that voice to b**** about movies...or D&D. :)

    Forcecage Deathtrap?

Forcecage can create a windowless cell, basicaly 6 Wall of Forces on all sides. This means no bars, no gaps, just all force. I don't know if this will suffocate those inside, though. I once thought about casting a Cloudkill spell and then then Forcecage them, slowly killing them. But there's...

    Am i reading this correctly?

Alright I'll try this again. I don't have access to much, so I'll just do this from the Core books and the Epic Handbook. A level 19/10 Paragon Titan Monk/Barbarian (Scary huh?) Aside from all the RP problems with this, and the fact that it's CR must be about 53+... Base Speed: 270 Fast...

    Am i reading this correctly?

I never said my D&D math was perfect. LoL. I'll try again.

    Am i reading this correctly?

Ok, go with me here. A 19/1 level Paragon Centaur Monk/Barbarian. Base speed: 150 ft Fast Movement: +70 Boots of Striding: x2 Dash Run Total Speed: 445 ft/round Running Speed: 2225ft/round, 22250ft/minute, approx. 252.84 miles per hour. I may have the math wrong, as I'm not sure if the...

    Am i reading this correctly?

Haste. An extra 145-150ft could make all the difference. Expeditious Retreat. Not sure if this works, though. Any rule-lawyers out there? Take a level of Barbarian for another 10ft(but it'll take a lot of sweet talking to go from non-lawful to lawful)

    Am i reading this correctly?

If I was a Monk, and suddenly I found myself up against a monster immune to my puny ki strike +3 fists, I'd be runnin like Forrest Gump too. :) :) :):o :D ;)

    Am i reading this correctly?

*tap**tap* Hey Andion. I think your math is wrong, despite what you must think. 90+5+50=145 90+5+55=150 As for the original question, I don't think it's broken, because what good will it do him in combat? Granted, he can run really really fast, but I don't think this unbalances the game...

    D&D 3E/3.5 More 3.5 rules questions

I would guess that the extra attack is at your highest attack bonus, sort of like a monk's Flurry of Blows without the -2 penalty. As for shield, it's not broken, as it's easily beaten by the 5 ft step. About all it's good for is protection from MM. But that's just from my experience.

    Undead Fighting

Mindless undead act as they are commanded by the ones that created them. If their creator is dead, they do the last thing they were told to the best of their ability. Usually, this is guarding an area. So the skeletons and zombies should attack the closest PC. Of course, you could rule that...

    Dragons' Initiative

All dragons are (somewhat) unique, which is probably why they didn't list the feats a particular dragon has. This means that the DM must go through and pick which feats he thinks are appropriate to his dragon. Dragons are rare, powerful creatures, that deserve the time put into them. The...

    Displacement vs Targeted Spells

If a creature is under the effect of a Displacement spell (or wearing a cloak of Major Displacement), will targeted spells like charm person be subject to the 50% miss chance? If yes, why? If no, why not?

    No end to polymorph self?

Ignoring all the banter between users... Leave it to WotC, the creators of the impossible Magic: TCG rules, to create the same havoc on D&D. :) I swear, they love to make rules so players can fight and argue and kick and scream over, then sit back and watch from their big bad office in...

    Repel Metal and Ranged attacks

Just trying to get some opinions on a particularly controversial issue in a D&D game I am involved in. A druid casts a Repel Metal and Stone spell, designating its path (for example, waves pushing from south to north). Then proceeds to enter into the area of the spell to protect herself from...

    Bracers of Armor Question

This is how I interpret the rules, and it's how I handle it in my games. Bracers of Armor provides an armor bonus similar to normal armor, like chain mail and studded leather. This stacks with shield armor bonuses. So you could, per se, put on Bracers of Armor +1 and still use a large steel...
