To what degree is the Realms still Greenwood's?

20%? I guess... and I'm happy about it. I've alwayes disliked (hated?) the uber-NPCs the Realms are full of... the majority of them made by Ed. I'm really grateful to him for creating the Realms, but I don't find his writing something of high quality. After reading his story in "Realms of War"...

We need to raise $5,000 for SammichCon Publishing NOW!

If I didn't live where I live, I would give You some $, for sure. :) It would be money well spent.

    thank you, Richard Baker

You mean Rich "no good" Baker? If yes, he must be stopped! (sorry, I couldn't resist temptation...)

    Cleric magic: spells or prayers?

I can't find the proper reference (searching the 4e enworld site). Is it true that they've changed the naming to prayers (it makes more sense than spells) or it it my broken memory/wild imagination/minddust effect/whatever?

    FR Time Jump?

Likely 100 years. Circa 10 years = totally post-apocalyptic FR. I don't think it's the aim. The world has to cool itself a little.

D&D 4E 4e Races and Classes: "Why we changed the gods"

Can someone explain me, please, how will the overgods work now... since all the D&D worlds share the same cosmology (4 major planes)?

Points of Light and the Forgotten Realms

I really like the new FR preview. The "old" setting was too full of heroes for me - not enough space for young, fresh adventurers, who want to save the world, because there are already tons of heroes. Dark and more mature FR? I'm in. I just hope they get rid off some uber-characters as well...

    Swordmage Class

There will be such a class... because there is a novel Swordmage by R. Baker to be released in Mah 2008 as far as I remember.

    New Design article: Elves

I don't like the idea of Elves loving the nature magic more than arcane magic... Elves love woods but that doesn't mean they're all druids and rangers. I rather like the idea od mages and warriors (more Tolkien-like).

Leader Role: The end of the cleric?

It would be wise if WotC designers took Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay corebook (or the all things priests' book) and look at WFRP concept of cleric/priest. It is much more entertaining and realistic. All priests know only basic healing spell, and a priest's spell list represent his god portfolio...

    Changes to Devils and Demons

I don't really think the whole "devils" is a good idea. The term "devil" describes a single persona, not a race. The devil is the chief od demons in christian religion, the primordial manifestation of evil (and the other religions also have a single entity as the badass of the universe)...

Seriously considering Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay (2nd edition)

What I hate (actually love) about the Greenskins... is that they are so tough. A few orks can devastate an unprepared party. Especially the iron orks from Parravon (10 damage reduction = 5 TB, 5 plate armor). Fortunately, they are not intelligent even among orks... so some spells that affect...

Seriously considering Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay (2nd edition)

I have the same feeling. In DnD level 10 you laugh at 5 men with crossbows aiming at you. In WFRP you surrender*. Just like in reality. *except for a dragon slayer/Grail Knight with max TB in full plate armor (gromril even), but such PC's are heroes of the Old World. If You have got a gromril...

Seriously considering Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay (2nd edition)

If You choose to be a fire mage, then 2 fireballs will cause a problem.. to Your opponents. ;) It's the perfect way to get rid of an enemy spellcaster. 2 fireballs almost always do the job in one round. And I don't speak of 3 or 4 of them. Now I see why bright wizards are so valuable on the...

Seriously considering Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay (2nd edition)

You are a little too harsh. 1d10 is fine... 5 on average only. And the elixirs... they can do. And they aren't so rare. Simply go to a large city and buy all that are in stock before another adventure. However, a party made of: a priest of Sigmar, a priestess of Shallya, a White Wizard... is...

Seriously considering Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay (2nd edition)

Creating an NPC is a matter of seconds... actually, since all the stats are percentage... except "hit points". ;)

Seriously considering Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay (2nd edition)

Saving the life of the next Emperor is always easier than killing a dragon or a Greater Daemon. ;) Who wanted to kill the Sigmar's heir? It seems that Your campign is really advanced. How much XP do You award for a session (on average)?

Seriously considering Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay (2nd edition)

Do You award them new Fate Points? In our campaign we are given one each 7-8 session - we don't have to make heroic deeds. Tough challanges? A SEA TROLL? :D

Seriously considering Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay (2nd edition)

I like what Black Industries are doing to support the game. The new Marienburg section on the website (I only caught a glimpse) is really interesting. I don't have the Vampire's book, but I have seen the previews... These Vampire Lord (good art too!) career seems to be extremely powerful...
