Wolf - you're right. Elemental resistance resets every round, while DR resets every attack.

If a charascter has BAB +5, he/she can use Power Attack and Expertise for 5 each, ifthey so choose; with no other modifiers, they will atack at -5. There's no clause combining the limit, though you're unlikely to hit many creatures with an attack bonus of -5.

Base them off the rods in T&B, because they're free in two ways: no feat and no level increase.

I disagree. Most people, it's true, choose humans because of their bonus feat. This does become less significant over time, though it's nothing to scoff at - feat chains make this very important for paladins and rogues. At higher levels, though, ther other main benefit of huamns kicks in -...

Remember that huamns, elves, and orcs are all the same race, in the same way that modern humans are the same race as Neanderthals (but not earlier hominids).

I often throw classed NPCs against my party, usually of the same level or one level lower (since my group has good ability scores and PC baseline > NPC baseline).

Actually, I meant in-game... was there any eason given for why wizards can't usually gheal or are so bad at healing when they do?
