Going to GenCon Indy for the first time

I highly recommend getting in on a ENWorld or Circvs game if possible. I played in PirateCat's pirate-y-swashbuckle-y-craz-y game last year, and it was a blast. I also recommend that if you have the time, volunteering for the ENNies booth. It's a great way to meet people. Also - go to the...

    My Warhammer 3E arrived today.

I got mine a week or two ago, and have run a couple of demo sessions for people. I also bought up the Adventurer's Toolkit this past weekend. Now I just wish I had an easy way to make my own stuff for it, although a number of people are working on adding something to the Strange Eons tool...

    My Warhammer 3E arrived today.

For the demo I ran for Emperor's Decree, I put the 9 basic cards in a sheet and photocopied it. They don't have differences between Conservative and Reckless Stance, so it works out. You don't *need* another box, but it definitely would make life easier for everyone. Duplicate talents and...

What 22nd Level Monsters Need Converting?

Hey Jester - what about a Nightmare Beast? I haven't seen one for 4th Ed. It was a fairly powerful creature in 3rd Edition I think, so dunno if it'd be 22 or even higher.

    The Monster Project

Hey Jester - Just wanted to also say how much I appreciate your work. I've used a lot of your conversions for my home game. They're great! Keep up the good work!

Warhammer 3e Demo Experiences -OR- How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bits

I like to try things, so I asked my local game store to participate in the demo. They did, and basically I got set up with the advance copy to run said demo. I'm comfortable with WFRP2e, so I sat down with the rulebook and took a hard look. At first, I was skeptical - I didn't know how it would...

    wizards forums are up

I like it. Things work fine, except I did have some trouble with hitting ENTER as opposed to clicking "save profile" for the Profile stuff. I will still be coming to ENWorld, however.

    Famous Werewolves in D&D?

Ravenloft also has Ivan Dragonov, a ranger who fought so hard against Werewolves, and eventually became a loup-garou.

WorldWorksGames: City of Himmelveil & TerrainlinX!!!

Hey - just wanted to chime in as another supporter. I started cardstock modeling about 2 or 3 years ago, to spruce up some of my D&D combats. It's been great. World Works stuff is easy to use, and while it may appear daunting at first, it gets to be second nature in less than a week of working...

The New Forgotten Realms - (About) A Year Later

I don't use it, but i know of people who use it. They seem to like it. The main thing I've heard people like about it is that you don't have NPC-Heroes around every corner like before.

These guys look happy about their nominations and awards! Fantasy Flight Games [News] - Leading publisher of board, card, and roleplaying games.

    DMG2 Excerpt: Companion Characters

Right now we have a guy with a "beast companion" that I use the mount rules to ad-hoc something in the game. There's a group of adventurer's that are lower level that the PC's have teamed up with on a big fight. This stuff is really useful to some DM's. I like that they gain healing surges...

Wolfgang Baur's Open Design new games!

Count me as wanting the Red Eye. I don't quite like that we already had a Fey-themed one for 4e, and now we're getting ANOTHER fey one. Azathoth would fit in 4e also. Boo :(

Did Anyone play the new WHFRPG?

They had stuff in a display case, ready to view, but not play. I'll try it when it comes out.

Pathfinder 1E So what did the ENnies do for publishers besides PAizo and WOTC?

The Ennies is where I also start my shopping list. Just being nominated makes me look at stuff. Doesn't mean I'll buy it, but I will sure as hell check it out. Just another info source that I use when making purchasing decisions.

    GenCon Core Book Sold Out?

I didn't pick one up (I am a pdf person), but I had multiple chances to with next to no line. When I left on Sunday, they still had copies sitting around. I don't think they sold out, but they definitely sold a ton of them.
