I do not run adventures where they players can't solve the quests, although if they can only solve something later in the game that is fine and I always communicate that the world can have challenges too big for them.

It is more likely that those people,who can't get along with society, do not leave their home much at all anymore and play online.

We can't even get vaccinated yet, my country has messed up badly. I'm risk group 2 and still no idea how long before I can get my first shot.

If anything, the pace of modules,no matter what company,is too much for me. So much I want to GM and only so little time. I can't even keep up with Paizo, WotC is way on the backburner and I doubt I'll ever get there again.

Maybe not less prep,but not more either. I do not use them to ave on work but to be part of the world and share experiences with others played/GMed through the same campaign.

Just read the first post and I disagree with a passion. Rules must be guidelines. Any game which deals in absolutes is a big,fat NO to me and my players.

I think it is because we've seen almost everything in the way of rules, and we know what we like. and too many "new" systems with minor variations come out, and who wants to bother to keep them all straight? So we prefer to stick with what works for us, and then it is just work to work through...
