    When will PDFs be over?

Hmmm... After my rant, I did a search for portable PDF readers and stumbled across Foxit. Foxit allows me to annotate and add my own bookmarks. It's also a LOT faster than Adobe Reader. Now if only they created a version for handhelds. Oh, wait... Foxit Software I'm testing this out when I get...

    When will PDFs be over?

My issues with PDFs are as follows: I print (some) PDFs only because I can't view them well enough or easily enough on a handheld device, and there is not handheld device designed to handle PDFs well enough. It seems the ideal solution would be to have a netbook (preferable touchscreen) that...

Anyone try the new WoTC digital Character Generator for 4e?

If you buy one month, you don't get the updates until you subscribe for another single month later on. I don't think they'll be tracking what's released each month and granting you access only to what came out during the months you had a subscription.

    Has CMP packed it in?

Nope, don't know anything. It's not like we're missing much with the server being down. I lost interest when they chose not to support E-Tools data sets for two years as they had promised when they were selling them.

Beholder Sounds from the old Master Tools

Wizards of the Coast - Electronic Media PS - I found this thread while trying to Google some history about MasterTools. At the same time, I was digging through the Wayback Machine on the Internet Archive and had already stumbled across the page linked above.

What is the point of the Rules Compendium?

A PDF copy of this book is even better. I've actually used it on a number of occasions and it makes searching for a rule very fast, particularly with the full search in Adobe Reader. Even using the ToC in the book with the PDF is fast as I can simply type the page number and I'm there.

    Commitment

My avatar was actually a tattoo design I came up with based on El Sol de Jayuya and some "tribal" sun patterns. I spent a lot of time on it because if I were getting a tattoo, I wanted it to be unique and significant. After I showed the idea to my uncle, he got the tattoo before me. Then my...

Preferred Format: Ret. to the Temple of Elem. Evil or Exped. to the Ruins of Greyhawk

I think Red Hand of Doom did a better job with the downloadable PDF.

Preferred Format: Ret. to the Temple of Elem. Evil or Exped. to the Ruins of Greyhawk

I hated running RttToEE because of the statblock templates and location in the back of the book. I also hate the delve format in the newer books such as Eyes of the Lich Queen as it splits up important information for each encounter. The most ideal was Paizo's format for Dungeon Magazine, but...

What is the point of the Rules Compendium?

The Rules Compendium goes beyond errata as it includes rules from supplements such as the Environment series as well as new uses for skills. Don't think of it in terms of redundancy. Of course it's redundant. The value of the book comes in its presentation and layout. The table of contents and...

OneNote a GMs holy grail :) (In case youve never used MS OneNote)

Check it anyway just in case. I think I've seen some enterprise/academic licenses for Office 2007 Pro Plus include OneNote.
