Superior Implements, ammunition missing from the New CB

Thanks. I found the Superior Implements, I had to uncheck the show suggested items box. Still no sign of the magic ammunition from Adventures Vault 2

Running the game without a map

No map is tough. But for a portable cheap set up I have used card stock printout a of map at reduced scale to get it on one card, or graph paper to draw out the map. I use broad lead mechanical pencils .9mm, or a worn #2 pencil with a smooth round point, for writing and marking on the map...

Superior Implements, ammunition missing from the New CB

I have not been able to find Superior Implements or magic ammunition in the new CB market. Am I just not finding them or are they not in the new CB? The feats for Superior Implements are there but not the items themselves that I can find.

    WotC Response to CB issues?

It depends on how much ten dollars means to you. If its a lot I would wait if you wont miss it I would go ahead and try it out now. I have only used it for a few low level characters with no problems. Others however have had lots of trouble judging from other posts, so it is a bit of a gamble.

    Throwing Two Handed Weapons

I would say yes. Dwarven Thrower lets the weapon be used as a Heavy Thrown weapon. Heavy Thrown weapon says you hurl the weapon from your hand. Plus a Halberd has a spear point in addition to its axe head.

Proposed Wager with DracoSuave - Blurred Step

I had no idea Canadians could be so cruel to each other. Its hysterical.

Can Dominate disarm a person's weapon?

ExploderWizard what would you think of a fifty fifty mix of weapon magic bonus with inherent bonus. Then an Epic fighter would lose at most a +3 bonus if he lost his magic weapon and had to use an ordinary one.

Can Dominate disarm a person's weapon?

Are you waxing nostalgically for THACO, 1 hp first level wizards, and level draining undead?

Can Dominate disarm a person's weapon?

For those interested I found the source of my recollection about why Sunder was dropped from 4e. Its the November 2008 mailbag podcast and the question is actual about Sunder and Disarm being dropped from 4e. Its question number 1 right at the beginning of the podcast after a brief intro.

Can Dominate disarm a person's weapon?

But from a mechanics point of view what are your thoughts how Dominate and ditch the weapon differs from the old Sunder rules. Gerdine made a good point about the complexity of the old Sunder rules; a negative, and WoTC has sought to reduce swingyness which Sundering would increase; another...

Can Dominate disarm a person's weapon?

Thats a good point about the old Sunder and Disarm mechanics. What I recall reading or it may have been a podcast was one of the WOTC people responding to a question about why Sunder was dropped had to do with the "swingyness" (my term).

Can Dominate disarm a person's weapon?

Question for those who do not see a problem with dominate and ditch the weapon. How is that different than the "Sundering" rules from 3.5 which were dropped from 4e because of the crippling effect depriving monsters and PC of there main weapon has under the 4e combat mechenics.

Can Dominate disarm a person's weapon?

"Sundering" from 3.5 was dropped from 4e because of the crippling effects it would have on monsters and PC under the 4e combat mechanics.

    Knocked prone and large creatures

Tht rules for GRAB PHB 190 and drag PHB 190 would allow a medium size creature to grab (immobilizing) the Pit Fiend (Large) and drag at half speed if it succeeds with a STR (no weapon modifiers) vs. FORT attack I see no difference if the PC instead luanch a knock-um prone attack on the Pit...

    Stupid Question: PHB3 Minotaur Ferocity...

It would have been negated by "Never Say Die" the level sixteen Minotaur racial paragon power, which allows you to remain concious until you fail your first death saving throw.

    Stupid Question: PHB3 Minotaur Ferocity...

Dropping to zero hit points starts the dying condition, the immediate interrupt is granting you a free basic attack before the dying condition starts. When dying you normally can only roll your death saves. Your not interrupting the attack or the damage with Ferocity but the onset of the Dying...

    Stupid Question: PHB3 Minotaur Ferocity...

You take the damage. The trigger is not being hit but dropping to zero or fewer hit points. If your interrupt killed the target and stopped the damage it would also stop its own trigger.

    The Assassin in Play

I have Halfling 7th level assasin and they are fragile, second chance helps some (racial feat). A couple of times the party defenders, battle cleric and paladin have rolled low for inititive leaving the poor assasin as only one to respond earily to try and contain or delay the enemy until the...

At what point do players know they're fighting Minions?

The article on Game Transparency Dungeon #375 last year covered minions. There was the blunt approach; these guys are minions; and the in game approach were the choice of mini's used and/or the discription of the monsters would let the players distinquish the minions form non minions.
