    Best Gestalt Combos?

I'm suprised no one thought of the knight/paladin combo. Good will and fort saves, d12 hit dice, charisma bonus to saves and some spell casting. Maybe not a damage-dealer, but definately a good meat shield.

Which Is The Best Spontaneous Divine Casting Class?

Which Is The Best Spontaneous Divine Casting Class?

Klaus, is that your idea or is it from somewhere else? I like it, Wu Jens as wizards that seek arcane power through greater understanding of the elements and nature. Something else to add to the debate, the spirt shaman came across as the spontaneous caster varient for the druid to me, like...

    Eberron...is it worth picking -up?

The other thing to like about Eberron is the noir tones. Grey infuses everything in the setting. Good and evil has very heavy undertones of grey. It makes running a character like a paladin both easier and harder at the same time. But then again, they kinda eliminated the orc baby problem.

    Help me accept psionics

I'm playing a Paladin 5/Psychic Warrior 4 in Eberron right now and psionics hasn't caused any problems to the campaign. The plus side is that it helps me be a better meat shield when the Warforged juggernaunt gets wound up and starts dropping enemies. And I have to keep the remainder away from...

What gameworld would you want to be in?

What's the immigration policy? Seriously, I'm thinking either Algol or the Bendar Empire from Mekton. For just about the same reasons that Jovian Chronicles was chosen. Mecha and hot anime women.

The Gates of Firestorm Peak - your experiences?

When I played this one, I remember alot of neat things about it, but playing was like cutting teeth with the group I was in at the time. We more or less had a TPK because of inter-party conflicts that the DM let fester and other issues at the time. A truely functioning party was very important...

Incorporating published city-settings into a homebrew

Burok Torn is also a good example of how a dwarf city should be defended. Your classic orc horde is in deep trouble if they get through the defenses, if they even get through the gate in the first place which is doubtful. And with this one, it's very hard to impossible without very, very major...

    OotS 406

considering how unhinged she got, I'm thinking instant blackguard. And Miko may be too unhinged to even know the difference. And from an earlier post talking about how much damage she can do, let's add an instant switch to blackguard for smite good or if you want to get more humorous and...

    The glory of OD&D

It's been 12 years since I played OD&D with the Rules Cyclopedia. But it was a blast, that game and the AD&D 2nd Ed game I played in the year before that were some of the best games I played in. 3rd to 3.5 has that same feel, able to run a campaign with three ,or in the case of the rules...

Has Anyone Ever Run a Single Classed Sorcerer?

In a previous game my group ran, we had a single-classed sorcerer and it was very nice. Me personally, I ran a Sorcerer/Bard multiclass when 3.0 came out and I enjoyed it. I used the Sorcere levels for all the nice combat stuff I needed and Bard for all the extras.

    Just got home from Thailand

I went there to visit my now wife before Christmas of '04. I didn't hit Pattaya, we went to Chiang Mai and Pai in the north and spent the rest of my time around Bangkok. I did enjoy the drive to Pai, the mountains reminded me of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
