    Is tactical Warlord really blowful?

9 players in a face to face game? Snap. Anyway, I agree with Rechan, the Bard might be more of what you're looking for, although it's far from completely represented in the D&DI article. But it'll allow you some great battlefield control, and you can focus on your one ally a lot easier than...

    What is missing from 4E

Don't spoil it for the poor guy! :D I'd agree as well, given the context. As for what's missing from 4E, the obvious answer is Goddamn Half-Orcs. And don't give me any of that re-fluffing bullcrap! I love me some 4E, but c'mon...we get Eladrin and Tieflings over Half-Orcs. Blargh.

    is super-double-awesome.

    Platemail sold here for CHEAP!!

I find a first level Paladin who's proficient in plate (which means, to me, he had some access to it and the ability to train in it) but unable to wear it from 1st level on kind of silly. Opinions are fantastic! :D

What did you never like in 3e?

These aren't quirks, but... 1. The DMG 2. The MM I hated those two books with the passion of a thousand suns. They were black holes of fun, and why I never tried to DM 3E. It felt like I should get college credit for it.

How Many Beers per Gaming Session?

Nope, they're still around. :D I'm going to enjoy a few Honker's myself after I get done with Thanksmas festivities!

The Druid makes me chew the furniture

I could get behind that kind of encounter power, very cinematic...the Druid flowing seamlessly between animal forms, popping up from the bird form into a big bear to take a swipe at an enemy before backing away, shedding the fur, and letting loose with some control-y powers. Personally, I'd...

Players break the doors-chests what ever

Fighter: I found this empty sack, so I made a puppet out of it! See?! My fingers are the arms! Puppet: "Hello, Mr. Wizard! How are you today?" Wizard: You...you just made a puppet out of a Bag of Holding. *Fighter looks at the puppet thoughtfully* Puppet: "Are you calling me shallow?!"...

Players break the doors-chests what ever

Well, if the players REALLY enjoy breaking stuff, they should be allowed to break stuff. But the DM also has a stake in the game, and maybe Smashy McSmasherson & Co. are ruining the tone/flavor of the game he wanted to play. "Say yes" doesn't mean "Shut up and let the PCs do anything they...

    beastly attributes

AFAIK, you calculate the attacks and defenses of your Beast exactly as you would any other character, unless otherwise noted through a power/feature.

    Discussing 4e Subsystems: Conditions

I have the opposite opinion. Once you get all the conditions down by rote (and since they're so plentiful, it's hard not to), they don't feel wonky at all. And most effects that aren't Save Ends are usually Until End of Character's Next Turn, which is PLENTY of time for the condition to affect...

Astral Dreadnought has kind of a fatal flaw?

Also, isn't the eye insubstantial? Nasty. Just a nasty, nasty monster. Splitting up the group means less effective tactics. 4E is, for the most part, not designed around 1-2 characters makin' a go of it.

The ELITE minority, my friend. Beer is awesome.

Question: Is a year-long D&DI subscription worth it?

Good DMs? Ha HA! But honestly, Jack's point was that (and of course we don't have empirical evidence of this) more than likely most subscribers to DDI are DMs looking for new resources and ideas, or players looking to help round out a character idea with something crunchy or fluffy. Your...

How Many Beers per Gaming Session?

Ah. Can't find that many beers that aren't somewhat bitter, I'll grant you. Try a lambic beer, they tend to be a bit more sour/sweet than bitter, and many are fermented using some sort of fruit. If you're in the U.S. or Europe, you should be able to find Framboise (one of the most popular...

How Many Beers per Gaming Session?

Have you tried GOOD beer? :D Bell's Double Cream Stout is a smooth, awesome seasonal beer that we tend to drink during our Dwarf Game. Don't mean to threadjack, but if people judge beer solely on the water that Anheuser-Busch and Miller put out...well, that's just not fair to beer. ;)

Order of the Stick: Why isn't it going 4e?

I think the 3.5 system matches the feel of the comic a bit more than 4E. But they've already made at least one 4E joke, and I'm sure there'll be more. Honestly, I don't give a crap so long as they bring Roy back and things can actually start MOVING ALONG.

Question: Is a year-long D&DI subscription worth it?

I don't think I've ever seen a post where you're happy about something. I should lurk more. ;) At any rate, I wuv my subscription to death. However, I'm a DM, and that probably has something to do with it. I can't reasonably say that a year-long subscription is worth it to casual players...

How Many Beers per Gaming Session?

We have an all-dwarf, laid-back Scales of War campaign going on every other week, and we drink 1-2 beers to enhance the mood and the "dwarf-talk," so to speak.

    What are Tieflings good at?

They're good at hugging, and ventriloquism. That's not in the PHB, but it's the honest truth. And though it's been mentioned, they make AWESOME Warlords, primarily because you don't feel bad about taking a power that goes against your presence choice, since your tertiary stat (Cha instead of...
