Ogre Mage/Dragonborn of Bahamut Paladin or Fighter

You could start as an Ogre Mage at first level anyway by using the Savage Species Ogre Mage monster class progression.

Pathfinder 1E Could Pathfinder take D&D's place...

Because the "solution" (not having any system for morality) is even worse.

Pathfinder 1E Could Pathfinder take D&D's place...

Not at all: a rogue isn't merely a "lightly armored fighter who darts and weaves between his enemies", a rogue is also defined by other skills, like opening locks and attacking from behind...

    Fencing Classes/Feats

I remember Dashing Swordsman from Order of the Stick... Is it an actual class or are you joking :) Certainly nice feats, I'll keep them in mind. Ahh, excellent suggestion! The warblade seems to me the best option, since it relies heavily on intelligence, which the duelist and swashbuckler...

Pathfinder 1E Could Pathfinder take D&D's place...

The best role description for a cleric isn't "leader", but "healer". I don't think those names are clear at all, nor very helpful... a Wizard would be Strike-Controller-Leader. Furthermore, I think roles are something that should occur naturally, rather than being so imbibed into the game's...

Pathfinder 1E Could Pathfinder take D&D's place...

I think it sets things too much in stone. And in any case, couldn't the names be less silly?

Pathfinder 1E Could Pathfinder take D&D's place...

"World of Dungeoncraft" sounds better, I think :D There's nothing wrong with incorporating elements from famous computer games per se, so I don't see how that is an issue. My gripe with 4th edition is not that it incorporated elements from famous MMOs, but that it incorporated some of the worst...

    Fencing Classes/Feats

I know of the Swashbuckler base class (Complete Warrior), Arcane Duelist (Random Encounter article series), Bladesinger (Complete Warrior) and Duelist (Dungeon Master's Guide v.3.5) prestige classes and the Weapon Finesse feat (Player's Handbook v.3.5). Are there other classes or feats...

Pathfinder 1E Could Pathfinder take D&D's place...

I would either ignore or laugh, I think.

Pathfinder 1E Could Pathfinder take D&D's place...

I think you are assuming too much. He could just be making fun of something he dislikes to people he thinks also dislike that something.

Odd observation re Skills and levels

I like your idea. But I'd rather have it as a race-based bonus to HP than a generic one.

    Prestige Class Feat tax?

I don't think it's incompetence... why would choosing a feat because it works thematically with the prestige class be incompetence?

What 3.X/D20 Material Do You Use With Pathfinder?

Complete Warrior is kind of a must to me. Mainly because I like Swashbucklers.

Pathfinder 1E Could Pathfinder take D&D's place...

I... don't see how your post relates much to what he said? Did you understand by "faceless" that Wizards is not notable? That isn't what he probably meant - he probably meant that Wizards' treatment of fans isn't as personal as Paizo's.

Gender modifiers: the other side of the coin

Gender modifiers make sense, but I don't think it is worth the trouble. Probably the best would be giving a +2 bonus to Strength to men, and +2 to Wisdom and Charisma to women, but that would be unbalanced...

    Pathfinder 1E Is Pathfinder D & D?

And the Pathfinder bestiary has classics like the Juju Zombie :)

D&D 3E/3.5 (3.5e) Stacking Special Abilities on Weapons

I think the effects shouldn't stack... because each effect is basically one "enchantment", with it's ritual, requirements and etc., and as such doing it twice would be like casting the same enhancement spell on yourself twice.

    Missing Creatures in 3rd Edition

Some creatures from AD&D are missing in 3rd edition or Pathfinder, or at least I haven't been able to find a version of them yet. For instance, I haven't been able to find the giant rat or giant toad anywhere so far.

    Thoughts on Harry Potter d20

I understand what you mean, but that's one problem between universes: what is somewhat trivial to do in one can be hard to perform in another. What I meant is that 13-15 level characters are among the very strongest of most DnD campaign settings; a normal student getting to such a high level...
