    That is true. The way I deal with it which is kinda meh, is that the adventurers throw their bags to the side when combat starts. Usually everyone is my group keeps all their stuff in a pouch on their side if it is that important, like poisons, rope, and the like. :p

    I prefer the essentials martial characters where they focused on the basic attack with at-wills and had encounter powers that did something special when you hit with an at-will. It is just that simple and they could always make the combat manuvers like the encounters in 4e.

    Oh I meant to add that when you use tier 3 spells, you have a chance to become unconscious since they are really draining your mental energy. So while you have a chance to do game-breaking things, if you fail you could be as good as dead.
