    TSR TSR Is Back.... Again!

Yeah, I'm still waiting on that.... I hate when someone starts a new kickstarter (or in this case, a new product line) when a previous kickstarter product they promised is several years late.

Dragonlance Elmore's 'The Four Women of Dragonlance' Painting Is Finished

Same. In fact, this is the first Elmore I can recall that didn't wow me.... Maybe he's set too high a bar. :) Edit - or maybe it's because the women look bored....

D&D General WotC Has Owned D&D Longer Than TSR Did

The question I have is will 5th edition end up being the longest active-supported edition in D&D history, or will WotC go for a new edition with the D&D 50th anniversary in 2024? (Or thereabouts.) With all of the concerns about legacy issues still present when 5th edition was released (but...

Monte Cook Games' Darkest House Is Designed For Online Play

My guess is because that's where the money is. :)

    D&D 2E Now I have the hankering to play a 2E game...

Just play with a party full of Bladesingers. I'm sure you'll have a grand old time.... ;)

What's the best and worst D&D book you own from any edition?

Beware of Dawizard! My faves: 1E - DMG, MM2 2E - Planescape Box Set, Return to the Tomb of Horrors, Ruins of Undermountain Box Set, Faiths & Avatars, Encyclopedia Magica Books 3xE - Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting, Oathbound Campaign Setting (Bastion Press), Ptolus (Malhavoc Press) Pathfinder...

D&D 2E Let’s Look At The Old Ravenloft Boxed Set!

Do not speak it's name! Both times a Masque of the Red Death product was released the line soon ended!!!!

D&D 2E Let’s Look At The Old Ravenloft Boxed Set!

I loved running Feast of Goblyns and introducing my players to Ravenloft. My munchkin players didn't like Ravenloft so much.

On Fantasy Grounds D&D Increases Dominance To 71%

What's with all the (presumably) D&D 2E players??? That seems weird. (Especially since 1E isn't there.) (Unless they are all playing Planescape, which I would totally understand. :) )

Roll20's Latest Numbers: Cthulhu Holding Strong!

Kudos to the D&D 5E team - what an amazing hit. PF2 seems to be struggling to convert over PF1E fans.

Dragonlance There's A New Dragonlance Novel Coming

Same here. I absolutely loved Chronicles and Legends as a teenager (3+ decades ago). The novels after those weren't awful, but they did lack the "spark and energy" (as you say) for me as well. Maybe it was the character of Raistlin that was the best part of the original trilogies for me...

EN World is 20 Years Old!

Happy birthday EN World - and thanks for the RPG news these 20 years...

RPG Crowdfunding News – Dead Man’s Rust, Opera House, WILD, and more

2+ years for 180 pages also seems a bit slow. (And, heck, if WotC does decide to do 6E for the 50th anniversary in 2024, we'd be approaching the time when interest in getting new 5E products may slow.)

D&D General D&D Settings sorted by material released

I'm shocked there were over 300 Realms novels! I would have guessed maybe half that!

Owen KC Stephens' Tabletop RPG Truths #4

I'm guessing this is why we sometimes see creatives leave one RFP company (with no hard feelings) and then resurface with a new RPG company a while later.

Owen Stephens Continues 'Real Game Industry' Posts

Yeah, I think this is a killer right now. Over-supply is huge. It's likely affecting all of the various markets for creative writing (RPGs, fiction, etc.).

Paizo Paizo Apologises For 'Police' Themed Adventure Path

That's essentially (no pun intended) what WotC did with 4E. It didn't work out very well for them.

Owen KC Stephens' Tabletop RPG Truths

The pie may grow a little, but it's not going to grow enough unless something is done about the supply side. Too much good content already available, and more coming every day.

Owen KC Stephens' Tabletop RPG Truths

Thank you for sharing your experiences, Jim Lowder. When I win Powerball and start my own RPG company (so I can afford to spend $2 million to make $1 million), I'm hiring you to change the industry. :) On a more practical note, Owen mentioned he wished he had solutions. Do you see any way to...
