Warlock's Curse, Fey Pact and a Bag o'Rats...

*snerk* Here in the office we call it "a bag of kobold babies" and isn't it nice that there's a section in the DMG that discusses legitimate targets, to address exactly this kind of thing? ;)

Wizard Spells 10-16 Two Page Spread

*eyeroll* They HAD to show off the one page that we've already fixed. :p It's an Int attack.

    Warlocks need wands now?

This. The character sheets are written for con-gaming convienence. A warlock doesn't *need* a rod or a wand to cast her spells...but she might have a benefit with one.

Classes ... Much Less Flexible than Advertised

Hm. Well, obviously I'm biased (and a robot, whirr click), but I feel like my 4E rogue did all of those things. And she could sneak attack with her shuriken. And a rapier, which she spent a feat for. It was worth it. I enjoyed playing that rogue a great deal...and I felt far more effective...

D&D 4E 4E Sneak Attack, how many times in a round?

In the actual rulebook text. I have enough other things to do today. :)

D&D 4E 4E Sneak Attack, how many times in a round?

    Typo. Fixed. One attack.

    Monk?

Truth. Once you see how the classes are laid out, and the structure behind them, it's going to be really, really easy to see how the monk is going to work. I can't wait to see it, either! (Say what you will about the 3.5 monk, I loved mine in Monte Cook's Ptolus game, and I can already imagine...

    New Article: Death and Dying

This actually happened in one of Chris Perkins' games. The party was trapped in a room, snakes and nagas and poison everywhere, oh my! Everyone was down to single digit hit points and taking ongoing damage. My warlord's turn came up, she took damage and fell over...and I rolled a 20 on the...

    Sigil is in the DMG!

I'm flattered that you think I have the power to "force" anything into 4th Edition. We work as a team. Some concepts have specific advocates, but I can assure you that if the rest of the D&D team had not agreed that Sigil had a place in the new cosmology, it would not have been in. I brought it...

    Sigil is in the DMG!

This is my preference as well.

From R&C: Pargon Paths & Epic Destinies

From the "things have evolved department": There are at least twice that number of paragon paths in the PH now. The variety, it is broad. Merry happy, all!

My thoughts of Roles - from Races and Classes

*handwave* No sweat. I'm an editor, I can't help but correct misstatements. ;) Oh, that's *easy.* The cleric (divine leader) doesn't look anything like the warlord (martial leader) and they'll both look, feel, and play different than the bard (arcane leader). Power source aside, there's plenty...

My thoughts of Roles - from Races and Classes

Untrue. As has been stated multiple times, the bard still exists and will appear as a distinct class.

My thoughts of Roles - from Races and Classes

Not when the sidebar right under the leader role discussion (all of a paragraph, btw) flat-out says it's not. Oh, what the hey, here's the text: Leader, Not Boss Clerics and warlords (and other leaders) encourage and motivate their adventuring companions, but just because they fill the leader...

Why are they making demi-humans taller?

    What's a demi-human? ;) Halflings are still Small, btw.

    More about wizards by kunadam

Well, I know better than to poke the bear(s), but I've been working on magic items all day and I'm punchy: "Staffs are for rays and cones, wands for long distance control, while orb stands for blasts, terrain control, and retributive and perception based effects." This was true at the time it...

Still no SRD for 3rd party companies

As one of the people who is frantically working on editing the PH right now (and who doesn't, really, have time even for this post :/), I can assure you that is entirely untrue. ...oh, don't panic. It's in good shape, but in no way DONE. And there's enough detail work and feedback integration...
