Want to make a mount-based Eidolon, have questions...

I don't think you can cast Enlarge Person on a quadropedal eidolon.

Should charismatic players have an advantage?

The fundamental reason most people would more than likely offer their cell phone to a famous person is that the famous person is more than likely to give it back. Why? Without even knowing which famous person, the answer is because a famous person has more to lose by not returning the phone...

Want to make a mount-based Eidolon, have questions...

Sadly, I cannot answer any of your questions. I lost all interest in the class as soon as I discovered that you cannot take a bipedal eidolon with the mount evolution, thus preventing my gnome summoner from re-creating Master Blaster from RW Beyond Thunderdome.

Does a Bag of Tricks animal require HA?

What about Figurines of Wondrous Power?

    High AC normal?

Despite the minor math hiccup, the point is still valid. At level 16, this AC is not remarkable nor unbalanced. All this AC really does is buy you some degree of immunity to 3rd and 4th attacks and emphasize the gulf between full BAB fighters and the rest of them.

    Help me design an "adventure-sniffer"

What they need is a contact that works at an animal shelter that takes in the familiars of dead wizards. Use speak with animals to learn about where their master died and that will put you on the trail to adventure.

Should charismatic players have an advantage?

"words are weapons, sharper than knives" goes the song. If you don't have the right tools for the job, you roll at a penalty. If you have masterwork tools, you get a bonus.

    High AC normal?

It's called Armor Training. If this character had a Dex of 24, his AC would be 44.

Should charismatic players have an advantage?

Simple solution: Eloquent description of attempted use of social skill along with witty lines = +N to roll. Unimaginative description of attempted use of social skill with no player input = -N to roll. N should probably scale along with PC level. At first level, there isn't a lot of...

    Is Rogue a problematic class?

I respectfully disagree. IMO the rogue is problematic in that they often spend much of their time engaged in solos while the rest of the party twiddles their fingers, waiting for success or a fight. It's a lot like the netrunner from Cyberpunk. From a teamwork perspective - vital in that almost...

    High AC normal?

    By level 16, it's hardly unhittable. I had a 3.5 cleric hitting mid 30s at 8th level...

Should charismatic players have an advantage?

Absolutely, reward the silver tongued player. There's a fundamentally solid reason for doing so. If you reward behavior, you'll tend to see more of it. If you reward socially skilled players, they'll be more likely to stick with the hobby. If you actively ignore their strengths, they'll be more...

    What would you do?

Feed the wizard to the cannibals. Eating a CN character will cause them to turn on each other within 24 hours, leaving you to clean up the survivors.

    Giving Bard Disable Device

Rogues are way overpowered, so giving away some of their signature class features and abilities is a long overdue correction.

Training peasants to fight in a pinch

You probably don't have enough time to impart enough knowledge and training to convert an untrained peasantry into low level warriors. You might have enough time to convert their village into a fortified position. I would spend my man-hours on the latter. If you're dealing with a less than...

    Your own personal gaming terms...

Cleric + Tank = Clank. I played several clerics under 3.x that had the party's best AC.

Can two forces be in conflict, both believing themselves to be good?

To return to the original post: obviously yes. I mean, let's just take a quick gander at the real world. We have situations where forces that worshiped the same god went to war. I'm guessing that both sides believed that god was on their side. We have had situations where two schools of...

    Firefly

I'm sure the OPs question has been answered, but just to restate the obvious, FOX sucks. Firefly gave me a kind of live action Cowboy Bebop vibe, what with the used future take and the oddly composed crew of misfits and odd bedfellows, all of whom kick butt in one way or another. No adorable...

    What is arcane magic?

In the context of D&D, Arcane Magic is: A power that gradually saps your physical life force in exchange for a tappable reserve of 'energy' that can be used to bend the laws of physics over a table like a five copper whore. Entirely lacking in moral structure or direction. Divine magic cares...
