What's the WORST Star Wars movie?

I thought Prometheus and Covenant were both decent enough. It's not like they sunk to the levels of Alien 3 & 4.

It is time to forgive WOTC and get back onboard.

Emotionally blackmail me all you like, WoTC will never see another thin dime from me unless it's by accident. I'm not even buying anything off OBS.

TTRPGs: broken mechanics vs. abusive players

And 5e players (or the ones I've been DM'ing for) aren't super keen on this. In fact more than a couple house rules and I probably wouldn't get any players. Let alone rewriting the entire spell list. But that's pretty much what my world calls for.

    Suggest some TTRPGs to me...

You'll have to give me a link. Google searching Fantasy League just brings up a naughty word mobile app.

TTRPGs: broken mechanics vs. abusive players

There is no such thing in RAW, as opposed to the Rifts examples, which do exist in RAW (because Palladium considers the balance to lie elsewhere--there is more in-game reward for combat in D&D than in Rifts).

TTRPGs: broken mechanics vs. abusive players

Right, I mean, maybe it was an intelligent undead with no clear reason to stay in the room other than the adventure text said so. Yeah, definitely true. Just giving the designers the benefit of the doubt and assuming they knew what they were doing when they said this guy stays put. But of...

TTRPGs: broken mechanics vs. abusive players

X is broken how? X BREAKS COMBAT Mandatory character choices for what? COMBAT Optimized for what? FOR COMBAT Min maxed in what way? FOR COMBAT Game balance for what? COMBAT Parties are imbalanced! In what context? COMBAT I see a pattern developing...

TTRPGs: broken mechanics vs. abusive players

That's only a problem for you because you're fixated on combat, and ignoring or at least deemphasizing all other aspects of the game. The Palladium xp advancement system specifically deemphasizes combat--the game doesn't give much reward for blowing things up and killing vs. making good...

    Suggest some TTRPGs to me...

As the title says. Just looking to expand my horizons. Try to limit yourself to a couple paragraphs and don't make it into a TL;DR if at all possible. :)

TTRPGs: broken mechanics vs. abusive players

I'm hearing "my party used magic as intended and it did precisely what it was supposed to..." What am I missing? Assuming the enemy got the appropriate saving throws and such. Of course if it didn't, that's an entirely different issue than the subject at hand. Why? If the adventure text says it...

What's the WORST Star Wars movie?

Oh, I didn't know we were talking about those. The prequils, and anything else on the above list, are masterpieces next to those. Let's throw in the Christmas Special too while we're at it. Which film is better, the Star Wars Christmas Special, or Birdemic Shock & Terror? Now THAT'S a poll!

What's the WORST Star Wars movie?

TPM/AotC/RotS... although I've never seen ep 8 or 9. People voting for Solo & Rogue One are very different people than me. Solo had its flaws but I'd take that over the prequils any day.

Adventure hook in the Pennsylvania news

A metal detectorist is suing the FBI, claiming he alerted them to 7 tons of Civil War-era gold and they took it away in a secret overnight dig The FBI, which went to Dents Run after sophisticated testing suggested tons of gold might be buried there, has long insisted the dig came up empty...

The Hero's Journey pt. 3: Villains

This is the third part of an exploration I wrote a while back on the Hero's Journey as it relates to RPG's. This was prompted in part by a recent video posted by Heath's Geekverse on the same subject. Here is a link to the first post. Here is a brief TL;DR summary: There actually isn't a...

RPG Evolution: The Dragons Come Home to Roost

Yes, gen z and millennials have a slightly higher iq than previous generations. They also work harder and (you’ll probably be surprised to learn) more committed to their marriages. That last one is because they feel less compunction to marry until they’re really really sure they’ve found the...
