Utility for 2 monitor setup at game table

Actually, you can check it out with a single monitor just by clicking on the link in the original message. It's just using a web browser to view the file. It will open two windows. You can get the idea on one monitor.

Utility for 2 monitor setup at game table

It is for a computer with two video cards really. Just two monitors of the same video signal will mean the players can see everything the DM does. I've got a setup where I have a dual video card with two monitors. On one monitor (the DM's) I run a whole bunch of stuff (DMs Familiar...

Utility for 2 monitor setup at game table

I just made an utility for having a "players view" map on a second monitor, while having the control for it on the dm's monitor. It's a very simple tool (I got to learn javascript). It basically will show an image and allow zoom/pan of the image. Here's how I'm using it. During the game I...

    Electronic Aids for Gaming Table

I use a PC at the game table. It has two monitors, one for me (the DM) and one facing the players. The DM montior is located slightly below the height of the table and off to the side. A DM Screen keeps the Players from seeing it. The Player's monitor is on a ledge just above that. This...

[Dungeon #97] The new adventure line?

Life's Bazaar Web Enhansement I noticed this in the web enhansement: Is a half-elf really trying to pass himself off as a dwaven merchant? Is he setting himself up for failure or what? Also, the "undercover" I assume should say "uncover". I just wish I had a regular weekly group, so I...

New d20 Software Tools Posted At GMMastery.com

Missing Spells I put the NPC_Sheet for etools together. The spells are not output, mostly because there was no spell spot on the NPC Essentials small sized character sheet. I could add it if we knew where it should be placed. Maybe it should print known spells for Sorcerers (are Bards and...

    [Dragon] What would you do?

Well, I'm a cover to cover reader/subscriber of Dragon for a little over a year now. My comments: * The articles I'm noticing I want to skip over (hence I would remove): - Gary Gygax's column - Living Greyhawk section - Forgotten Realms location articles - Phil and Dixie (I don't...

DM Familiair vs. Campaign Suite vs. others...

I just wrote this comment yesterday at rpgshop.com. You might want to check out the other reviews here too. I have been using DM's Familiar since it first appeared a year or so ago. It has been steadily improved the whole time, and is a fantastic aid to my games. I run a couple of games that...

Funny Email From a Publisher re. Reviews

A review shouldn't ignore cost of the item. Wether a consumer is happy with a purchase is often based upon what they paid for it and if they feel it was a good value at that price. Here's an interesting off topic story to illistrate: A year or so ago my wife and I were in the market for a new...

Anyone out there use DM's Familiar?

I've been using it since it first came out. It is a GREAT help in speeding up combat and in keeping track of things. I find it much quicker than flipping through manuals, but I still use all the manuals at the same time. It has great support as well. New features are constantly being added...
