Oh come on, I can't believe RttToEE has got so many votes.

    Is this character too pwerful?

If the DM usually uses 4d6 w/rerolls for throwing stats, I think he could also allow your stats. Frankly, I would never allow this in a PC made from scratch. PCs must earn such goodies in game, IMC.

    Adventures with strong intrigue/plot?

That makes a good gaming session, but don't pick it if you're looking for mystery stories. I second that. :)

using props to track initiative - an idea

What works best for us is simply to have a player keep the initiative instead of me, the DM. Quick and easy, he keeps track of the initiative and calls who's next. I can keep hidden initiatives for me and everything works just fine. :)

    Feh!! I need a break! (Brain hurts....can't...DM)

    Sad but oh so true.

    What is this adventure?

Could be the kou-toas dwelling in the shrine in the Lake of Shadows in CotSQ?

    Languages in Faerun

Ok, I skimmed through the FRCS in the weekend and actually there's no languages map in there... I guess I'll have to make one myself... :) Bye

    Languages in Faerun

Mmm, I own the FRCS and IIRC there is not a map as the one I mentioned... well I could be wrong, I haven't got the book at hand now. Thanks diaglo, I'll take a second look. Regarding candlekeep, been there but did not find what I need. :\ I hoped you people could direct me to some Dragon issue...

    Languages in Faerun

Hi, does anybody here know of a map of Faerun showing the extension of the language areas please? I was looking for something kinda like the one with the Wyrms of the North (here). Thanks guys. :)

    Effects of banning "flashy" magic

Yes, more skill points, it would go well with the flavor you're giving to your campaign. And consider allowing them some sort of "double specialization" - specializing in two schools at the same time, getting 1 extra spell each...

    Which sword would you take?

Here are the two of them without the shared features: Although the Protection from Evil effect is VERY VERY VERY attractive, sword #2 has the +1 to AC-saves-init... Uhm... let's say that if my character had Improved Crit (bastard sword) then I'd pick sword #2 without any doubt, to exploit the...

    Round 12 is OVER!

    QUICKEN SPELL too expensive...

    Temporal railroading.

I think it's something you and your DM should agree beforehand. The point seems to be that your DM did not sense correctly your mood and he was not able to give you what would have made your adventure a good one. He stayed on his plot, without perceiving that the right thing to do would have...

Defeated by puzzle - campaign over: Here is the offending puzzle!

Yeah, that is, when he finds a solution! The guy sounds fake to me too. He surely is a good DM, Roman cannot be that wrong, but we all make mistakes. He made one and does not know how to get out of it. IMO, of course. :\

Defeated by puzzle - campaign over: Here is the offending puzzle!

Roman, have you considered the possibility that NO ANSWER is the right answer? This could make sense if you think that you're in one of the last rooms before the lich's. If he does not want to be bothered (which is the reason for the monsters gates, I guess), so why placing a puzzle there, if...

Solve this puzzle (actual puzzle from a campaign)

After this, you could have ruled that the elemental handed the key to PC1. It would have made your life easier (and the session more fun), had you known how things were going to go... ;)
