D&D 5E Are Kender considered Halflings for Racial Feats?

You do you, houserule whatever you like. But the OP said their DM likes to stick to RAW and by RAW kender are not Gnomes.

D&D 5E Are Kender considered Halflings for Racial Feats?

They are not Gnomes and nothing in their traits suggests they should be treated as such. They were transformed from gnomes into kender but that doesn't make them still count as gnomes.

    D&D 5E 5E Survivor - Subclasses (Part XIV: Wizard)

Abjuration 13 Conjuration 13 Divination 3 + 1 = 4 probably futile, but my Divination magic told me this outcome was likely. Can't actually have good subclasses win now can we? Enchantment 10 - 2 = 8 hopefully we can avoid having the worse subclasses winning. Your charms don't work on me...

D&D 5E Are Kender considered Halflings for Racial Feats?

Obsolescent means "becoming obsolete". So what I said is correct. Custom Lineage does not make them obsolete and it also doesn't contribute to racial feats "becoming obsolete". It doesn't make them any less relivant. Your views on RAW are not relivant to whether Racial Feats are becoming...

D&D 5E Are Kender considered Halflings for Racial Feats?

Custom Lineage doesn't make Racial feats obsolete. It is its own Lineage that doesn't count as any other race, so can't take any racial feats unless a DM houserules otherwise.

D&D General anyone think that vancian magic is limited?

Yes, vancian magic is quite limited. That is why I am glad that D&D dropped it and no longer uses "Fire and Forget" spellcasting. Having spell slots does not make the system Vancian, it is the memorise/prepare the spells you want and forget them each spell you cast. Want to cast a spell twice in...
