D&D 5E Booming Blade vs Extra Attack for rogue

Already know that, I for some reason don’t like High Elves or Arcane Tricksters. Half-Elf is too Charisma focused.

D&D 5E Booming Blade vs Extra Attack for rogue

How does readying an attack work? I know it uses up your reaction and it uses an action, but do you have to be eligible what you ready an action for? Let’s you cast Eldritch Blast and it uses up your bonus action. When you ready an action, does it now have to be a cantrip?

D&D 5E Booming Blade vs Extra Attack for rogue

In the party we have two Charisma based PCs being a Paladin and Gunslinger Fighter. I want to be a Wisdom based character since I have made far too many Charisma Based ones. Hexblade does give you better stuff, but I would rather use Wisdom. Now I’m Thinking about going Grassland Druid would be...

D&D 5E Booming Blade vs Extra Attack for rogue

I plan on multiclassing a rogue and want to know which is better combat wise for rogue. Booming Blade or Extra Attack. Let’s say the choices are 4 levels of ranger to get booming blade through Magic Initiate or 3 levels and get a level of Arcana Cleric for BB and GFB for wisdom stat, or 5...

D&D 5E Aberrant Mark of The Changeling

When they transform into someone else let’s a say a guard, they would make clothes as apart of what they can change. When they transform out of the guards form, they forget what they did while pretending to be the guard.

D&D 5E Aberrant Mark of The Changeling

So I thought of a aberrant mark for changelings. I find it interesting if a PC can do more with a mark then pick a cantrip and a spell. Why not let a changeling where when they transform they can create clothes, with the drawback that they lose memories of the forms they take with the exception...

    D&D 5E Kobold Warlock

I probably won’t play this since Kobolds aren’t fun to play unless you are trying to fully Min/Max, and other races have far more interesting abilities.

    D&D 5E Kobold Warlock

    1. Kobold with Advantage So I had a thought can a Kobold with Pact Tactics use darkness and have Devil Sight combining the three to make them always have advantage? Darkness and Devil Sight are a famous combo that works as well as the DM lets it. So the question is does a Kobold that casts...

    D&D 5E Mumbling Kobold

Before the Fight. While you walk around you mumble prayers and cast light through your familiar.

D&D 5E Arguments about if the help action breaks invisibility. This is the second title. A third title, Thread = Dead.

The whole point of this thread was that the DM already made his mind up and I was trying to figure out how to make sure it doesn’t die I got as far as my own suggestion and someone saying DS sorcerer to make it slightly better.

And this is why the Thread is supposed to be dead. Because it’s all pointless arguments that in the end boils down to all are time wasted with no one moving an inch.

D&D 5E Arguments about if the help action breaks invisibility. This is the second title. A third title, Thread = Dead.

I read it as Arcane Trickster uses owl familiar to use help action. Familiars can’t take attack actions. Therefore, transitive property would make it not be an attack action. But then again nothing is logical in DnD. A darkness spell can block a window and light would still go through.

RAW is Rules as Written RAI is the name of a spice probably and Rules as Intended. JC is Jeremy Crawford SA is Sneak Attack and in this case Sage Advice. RAF is Rules as fun. All DMs play by this unless they are in adventure’s league.

D&D 5E Arguments about if the help action breaks invisibility. This is the second title. A third title, Thread = Dead.

RAW and RAI due to JC in SA says that it works like this, but your RAF is different from mine so let’s all agree to RAW and RAI this works, but like every rule in the book is an idea, and if for what the reason is, you can throw it out into the composter and modify it to are liking.

One with the Shadows states that it breaks if any of those conditions are met, that doesn’t apply to all invisibility. Also how does a loud screech from a Imp is not distracting?

Adding on to this, if the help action RAW is a special attack, why aren’t we seeing the Fighter use the help action as and attack with extra attack? The shove action works likes this. I want to say grappling is the same, but I’m not sure since I have never built a grappling PC.

D&D 5E Arguments about if the help action breaks invisibility. This is the second title. A third title, Thread = Dead.

Invisibility. The sprite magically turns invisible until IT attacks or casts a spell, or until its concentration ends (as if concentrating on a spell). Any equipment the sprite wears or carries is invisible with it. RAW, this means that IT has to make an attack or cast a spell. Help action due...

Except The sage advice means the help action isn’t an attack. I doubt one could argue that it would be a cast a spell action either.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sageadvice.eu/2015/11/25/can-a-familiar-use-help-to-grant-advantage-at-range/amp/ This sage advice proofs otherwise. If it counted as an attack action, then a familiar couldn’t use the help action at all. If a warlock used there action to have there familiar use...
