Again, disagreeing does not necessarily equate to dismissing. I have six Adventurers League characters. Only 1 one of them has the Elemental Evil story origin. Am I therefore losing at D&D? As has been demonstrated before, our rules flex and shift over time based on the feedback we receive and...

You’re probably right. And this creates a precedent; which is pretty dangerous ground when dealing with people that are as...invested...as some of our players are.  You’re going to have players throw Sage Advice in your face all the time. It happens to me. I agree with most of Jeremy’s...

As with the game itself, the specific rule trumps the general rule. The general rule is that mid-season guidance isn’t provided. Season 4, specifically, will have guidance forth-coming. I suspect this is largely in part to the release of the Sword Coast Adventurer’s guide. As has been the case...

I wouldn't say that I'm strawmanning you. I will say, however, that I'm painting with very broad strokes the typical responses that we received regarding SCAG and its inclusion (or lack thereof) in the program. You'd be surprised how many people take up an opposing view point. If I was a...

It's almost as if...::gasp::...we don't live to intentionally annoy our playerbase! I'm not 100% sure on what is going to be released and I couldn't speak on it if I did, but rest assured that we realize that people want to use the materials in the book; despite what the doomsayers want you (and...

We don't expect people to attend cons to get certs. We expect people to attend cons to play the game. Certs are anything but pay-to-win.

Because if there's a phrase that accurately describes the extent of our restrictions, its definitely "oppressively restrictive".

There's a difference between finding enjoyment in discourse and heading straight to the worst case scenario, throwing ones hands up in the air, and decrying the whole debacle as an object failure--which tends to be the trend.

    Adamantine and Mithral

Your problem is that you're not looking for the silver lining. While you can't pretend it's made of mithral, you can pretend its made of dark blue metal.

    Battle/City/Dungeon Maps?

The maps in the Expeditions aren't the best for reproduction. As the guy who makes most of them, I can tell you that using Microsoft Paint has a negative impact on the images's quality. We're working on some other options to try and get maps with a bit better resolution out there so they can be...

    DM Reward Certs

Kalani is correct; the item granted by the permanent magic items count against your total. The other options do not.

Is there a way to get a Kelemvor Cert?

My con attendance is anything but predictable. I *try* to attend at least two of the larger cons each year (Winter Fantasy, Origins, Gen Con), but which one varies on a number of different variables--including what I had for breakfast on a given morning. PAX Prime is the one con that I attend...

Is there a way to get a Kelemvor Cert?

The promotional certificates are not the property of Wizards. However, they have no trade log, so once they've been used and the character's information filled in, that's it; selling them or trading them is useless. Promotional material has always been a huge commodity. Dice, minis, the...

Is there a way to get a Kelemvor Cert?

There was a very limited number of these certificates produced. I gave out a couple at PAX Prime this year, and think I've got one left. If you happen to find yourself at a convention I'm attending, you may be one of the lucky few. Aside from that, ebay may your only option.
