    Pathfinder 1E Paizo Annoucement!

I was reading the paizo alpha stuff, it's more like a 3.99 version. I wonder what the anti-4e players with their tons of 3.5 material will think of that... How much can they tweak 3.5 until it's just like 4E? I hope that WOTC hounds are looking Paizo closely. EDIT: OMG the elf in the races...

    Homebrew!

One of the creatures in the statcards had a Power like this one. It teleported the attacker 3 squares away from you, and it automatically failed its attack. It's a nice way to get your friend out of the jail, pick a fight with him and teleport him outside ;)

Raise Dead: A nice big bone to the simulationists

It was his destiny to be eaten by a troll and then raised from the dead. ;)

Raise Dead: A nice big bone to the simulationists

I was thinking about a sim raise dead rules. The cleric heals and regenerates the body until it's in perfect shape, or recreates it magically from a small part as hair or a nail or some blood. Than the character must go to where the soul remains and bring it back to the material plane to puts...

    Ha! I knew it'd work. :D

    Non-Newtonian movement...

An elf's maximum speed is 4,6 m/s. A human in our world can reach 10 m/s.

The DM controls that force in my games.

    Non-Newtonian movement...

3.5 dwarf running: 80 ft. elf walking: 30 ft. 4E dwarf running: 35 ft. elf walking: 35 ft.

    Pathfinder 1E Paizo Annoucement!

AFAIK anything past 6th level in 3.5 is super-human. You probably won't see characters flying around in 4E in Heroic Tier.

    Pathfinder 1E Paizo Annoucement!

So Paizo decided to betray 4E? They won't get my money anymore. I'm just moving my Paizo bookmark from the RPG/D&D folder into the RPG/Others folder.

Raise Dead: A nice big bone to the simulationists

I'm a sim DM and I like it. It's perfect. I also think that only souls that were powerful in life could ever be ressurected, so I hope the rules also support that. It depends on each one's personal philosophy, so I think the relevant question here is: Who decides each person's destiny? In...

    Non-Newtonian movement...

But in 3.5 if the dwarf run he would move faster than the elf, not move by his side.

    Non-Newtonian movement...

I noticed that running is a move action that adds +2 squares to the character's movement. So if a human uses two move actions on his turn to run, he moves 16 squares (80 ft.)? Compared to 3.5, where a human could run 24 squares (120ft.), that's a lot slower! Also, when a dwarf with speed 5 runs...

Design & Development: Warlord Article UP!

Really? Show me a Warlord power that tells the rogue how to sneak better or the fighter to swing his weapon better. All we've seen so far are powers that create different tactics for the whole party, and all of them are about moving, positioning and opportunity tactics. What we a have is a...

    All Dailies should be *reliable*

It also becomes another incentive for the characters to keep adventuring as much as possible. Encounter powers could also be recharged in the middle of the combat by spending an action point.

Design & Development: Warlord Article UP!

Do you apply the narrative in-character or out-of-character? YOU, the player, know the character will deal 3W in his next attack, and you will describe that super attack the best way you see fit, when you are activating it. The problem discussed here is not how to narrate powers, but how we...

    All Dailies should be *reliable*

Maybe characters could spend a number of actions points, 2 or 3, outside of combat, to recharge their spent daily powers.
