Another one of my favorites was the old Wrath of the immortals set. You basically had a complete rule set to become a god (immortal), after attaining max level in basic D&D.

I have seen stats for an air elemental attack that required a strength saving throw. I believe we will see lots more of these types of saves when the monster manual comes out.
