    D&D 5E [Humor] A D&D Next Madlib

D&D Next is going to be interesting, as the DM. Compared to 4e, it will hopefully be less restricting. However, I have some reservations. First off, I hope rangers aren't in the game. Not many people like or play them. Secondly, I want the warforged of Ebbron to be prominent; put one on the...

    Rangers

What is unique about the ranger? I have seen rangers in AD&D 2nd edition, 3rd edition, 3.5 edition, and 4th edition, in which they were too hard to be, under powered, or just easily replaceable, respectively. Even so, people played them for their flavor, be it the avenger/protector of nature...

    No Racial Hatred

That's an essential game mechanic, how do the players level up? Do they at all? I am interested in this system, if nothing else it seems like it would get rid of the motive of killing purely for XP. Why do *you* do it this way?

    No Racial Hatred

Also, warforged, drow, and full blooded orcs are what I would like to see played.

    No Racial Hatred

I think there should just be a raised XP cost, so it takes longer to level up and only is a level down for lets say, half of a quest or so. From this these races are neither left too far behind nor able to become much more powerful than the rest of the group. Note that I have yet to test this...

    When Fantasy Racism gets stupid

Orcs and drow are playable, as are goblins, kobalds, and durugar. One just has to find the correct backstory. Just as important the "good" races can be even more evil than your stereotypical bad guy.

    Just Two... More... Days!

"Ideally, the wizard feels like a good fit in any campaign, regardless of the focus on combat, exploration, or interaction. The trickiest thing with the wizard is that since that class has to expend spells, it makes sense for those spells to be really good." I think at least wizards got their...

    Roleplaying Power

point being that among other things, Fharlanghn only ever has small churches (and their always on the side of a road), reason being that he holds others above himself and a large church for him does not further his goals. Maybe have them build a road through a forest swarming with creatures, at...

I hope they get rid of the 4e power system, it's so restricting.

    Roleplaying Power

Just pointing out that Fharlanghn is the god of the roads, if nothing else your high priest must travel the roads helping out travelers for the remainder of his life. Unless of course he he chooses to go back with his adventuring party and leave his high position. This can't be very exiting...

    Divination Dilemma

Be that as it may, if well placed, casting prestidigitation can be the best spell until limited wish causing the subject to move into a place that is more identifiable. A resourceful wizard can nearly double the effectiveness of any spell.

    D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 Fire Subtype question

it creates no light, but the heat of it's skin/scales most likely does fire damage, so most likely the flames are internal (hot blooded) which cools on death

    Dar'radu

-an outsider (seeing as it comes from another plane) -shapechange into any one humanoid, preferably either the first it sees or one it makes a sort of soul/psychic connection to (size small to medium) -from the sound of it +4 natural armor or DR and an immunity to heat -try balancing it a bit...
