Warlord Tactical Presence and multiple attack

As far as I know, the answer to both is YES. The close burst (or blast, or area burst or whatever) is still a single attack even if it has multiple attack rolls. Also note that bursts and blasts only make one damage roll and apply the result to all targets.

    Slaying Action (Feat)

Which is basically where I am coming from on all this - as far as I can tell, the two do not function with each other. Needless to say, the Rogue saw a natural combination in extra sneak attack dice with an ability which ups the damage per die. I am curious if the items were written...

    Slaying Action (Feat)

Another issue is how Slaying Action (Feat) works (or doesn't) with Slaying action (PP trait from Death Death Dealer). Slaying Action (11th level): When you spend an action point to take an extra action, you gain a +2 bonus to each damage die until the start of your next turn. It looks like...

    Slaying Action (Feat)

Hey Everyone, I am having a bit of trouble understanding the nuances (if there are any) of the feat Slaying Action. If you spend an action point to take an extra action and have already dealt Sneak Attack damage during this round, you can deal the extra damage a second time during this turn...

    Can leaders...do damage?

My primary PC is an Eladrin Warlord, and I have been quite pleased with my damage output - that being said, my damage is performed by other characters. At level 11 my Int was 22 (+6). I Fey step and use Fey Tactics to move the Dragonborn (Str 22) Fighter into position. I then use Adaptive...

    Magical Weapons as Implements

So one of my PC's is a sorcerer with a +2 Vicious Quarterstaff. When casting spells he can use the staff as an implement, gaining +2 to hit and damage rolls but does not gain the proficiency bonus from the staff. My question is in regards to Vicious - on a critical hit with a spell, does the...

    PS3 RPG Titles???

So apparently my parents decided they wanted a Blu-Ray to go with their Flatscreen - the kindly BB salesman sold them on a PS3 as their player. My 16 year old anime-loving daughter is wondering if there are any good RPG style games for the PS3? I am a PC person - so I really don't know. I...

    Understanding 'Hunting Party'

In this situation - I am the DM - so that doesn't do me any good :) Currently I am leaning in allowing it to work multiple times - it might be abuseable, but it would take a fair amount of work in comparison to other damage builds (Adaptive Strategem + Come and Get It + (AP) Thicket of Blades)...

    Understanding 'Hunting Party'

Needless to say, I am not real sure what to think on this one. Upon reading it, it did seem to me that they specifically went out of their way to not use terminology that the ally 'used up' your HQ for the turn. Look at the wording for Confounding Attack, Rogue Daily 1. As a free action...

    Understanding 'Hunting Party'

Hey All, I have a question for 'Hunting Party' - Ranger Utility 10. Effect: Until the stance ends, each time you miss your quarry with an attack, you can choose an ally within 5 squares of the quarry. If that ally hits the quarry before the start of your next turn, the ally’s attack deals...

    Combat Superiority Question

Thank you very much - a follow up question then, if I may. If you can only take 1 opportunity action per turn, what happens when 3 enemies all adjacent to you who have the same initiative (because all orcs have initiative of 14 for this example), do you only get to swing at one orc then?

    Combat Superiority Question

Hey Everyone, I have a question on the timing of Opportunity Attacks as relates to movement and the Fighter's Combat Superiority Trait. An enemy adjacent to the Fighter attempts to move six squares. He grants and Opportunity Attack due to his movement, and the Fighter hits him. The enemies...

    PH3 Playtest Race: Wilden

Somewhat disappointed to not see the Illumian or the Thri-Kreen. The Wilden are OK I suppose, just not my particular cup of tea - the name though? Gots to go.

    Speculation -- next Friday's PH3 Playtest?

The Illumians with some flavor rewriting were a major part of my homebrew campaign, so seeing even a playtest version of them would be very helpful to me as I start puting together my 4E campaign. That being said - my guess is more Thri-Kreen as the more likely candidate that could use wide...

    11 Reasons Why I Prefer D&D 4E

However, 4e gave us something REALLY cool- the disease condition track. I modified the disease condition track to take into account long-term injuries and magical curses, and it could be modified for a number of other things I probably haven't considered yet. Injuries require an Endurance...

    Firing into Melee

For what it is worth, the RWA do seem rather silly. I suspect we'll ignore the 'Allies don't provide cover to enemies' part and call it a day.

If a Dragonborn fighter uses her Dragonbreath on 3 foes, can she immediately mark all 3? Thanks!

    Firing into Melee

Is there a penalty for firing into Melee? I was not able to find one, and the lack of said penalty seems odd.

    Martial Power: archetypal builds

Monk is probably in PHB3 - either Ki or spiritual or similar flavor of Power Source. Archtype is probably just that - so there is a heavy armor fighter archtype, and maybe gladiator fighter archtype etc.
