D&D 5E The Final Announcement from The Descent Live Stream: Eberron Hardcover

I wonder if this will be a full setting overview kind of deal, or something more like SCAG, with just a snapshot of one particular area. If it's a full-on setting book, I'm surprised the Forgotten Realms didn't get one first!

Traveller 5th Edition Reprint Is Kickstarting

Original Traveller has always been playable as a solitaire game. It's character, starship and system creation are dice driven and can be combined to form adventures one doesn't need a referee to run. It just tends to be more fun and creative with a group.

Don't Use the Internet, It's Silly Season!

I really wish I could still get The Ghostbusters RPG and Tales From the Floating Vagabond. Now THOSE were a couple of funny, simple RPGs to sink one's fangs into! Love TOON though ;)

RPG Crowdfunding News: Lunars, Lasers & Liches, Conclave, Immersive Battle Maps, The Great Old Ones,

I got that bit. I think Call of Cthulhu is a bad title for such a book though. Something less confusing, like Lovecraftian Dreams, or some such. What I really meant is you don't need The Great Old Ones RPG because there's already SO MANY similar games, Call of Cthulhu not being the only one...

RPG Crowdfunding News: Lunars, Lasers & Liches, Conclave, Immersive Battle Maps, The Great Old Ones,

Isn't Call of Cthulhu already a RPG or did I slip into a parallel universe?

These Are DDB's Most Viewed D&D Adventures

LOL at Ravnica: "We want Greyhawk! We want Planescape! We want Dark Sun! Where the Hades is our SPELLJAMMER?" WotC: "We hear you loud and clear; here's some Ravnica from our MtG line. Buy out that and we'll consider making what you asked for. In the mean time, isn't the Forgotten Realms keen...

These Are DDB's Most Viewed D&D Adventures

So what I'm seeing is people like sandbox adventures that feature unconventional settings, and when it comes to those adventures, they like the setting information more than the adventure itself. Hmmm... Maybe more setting material that isn't cookie cutter Forgotten Realms would sell?

Artist Tony DiTerlizzi Reflects On 25 Years of Planescape

Always loved DiTerlizzi's work. It's like a cross between those old David the Gnome books and The Dark Crystal. In Search of Wondla was amazing! Few things say Germanic dark fairy tale like DiTerlizzi illustrations :)

    White Dwarf Reflections #2

I don't find it confusing as Traveller and Call of Cthulhu have more in common with D&D than T&T does. Maybe you should look through a copy or even play it sometime. It doesn't even use 20-sided dice or have armor class. It does have elves though, so there's that! But then, so does Pathfinder...

Big Changes At White Wolf Following Controversy

I may be old and stodgy, but back in my day, folks understood the difference between fantasy and reality and didn't mistake either for the other. When you do, "controversy" tends to be the result and these mentally ill people will insist that their "reality" be reflected in other's fantasy and...
