Getting rid of magic item bonuses

Yep, you just check "Inherent Bonuses" in the Manage tab and it does all the work for you.

    Custom Char Sheet

I like this a lot. It's not cluttered, and it has a lot of stuff that should be on the official sheet (room for powers, not just basic attacks, for example) I have no suggestions because I have no talent for this sort of thing, but I'll be watching its progress with interest!

I don't know if I'm any good at designing monsters

Unfortunately, it went pretty badly - the PCs managed to trap it in a narrow hallway almost instantly, so none of its cool movement abilities were doing it any favors. I should have just had it knock a wall down by DM fiat or something, but it was late and it never occurred to me. Oh well. I...

    Creature Catalog - Paperback?

It's listed as paperback on the Wizards site, as well. How disappointing. It will look silly sitting on the shelf with all the hardcovers... ...which I guess is a stupid reason to be mad that it costs $15 less than it would have otherwise. I dunno how to feel about this, I guess!

Attempt at a new Fighter Feature

Which fighter feature would this be replacing? I assume Combat Superiority/Combat Agility. Also, if you're worried about it being too powerful, perhaps the enemy making the attack should be marked in order for the ability to function.

I don't know if I'm any good at designing monsters

Here are my tweaks (I'm cutting it awfully close, as my session starts in like 4 hours haha) I like phase 2 a LOT better now. Thanks guys! Do you suppose phase 1 should have a close burst attack as well?

I don't know if I'm any good at designing monsters

Oops. I totally didn't think about not being able to take immediate actions on your own turn. I'll change it to a free action...and consider making it at-will. Adding an encounter burst attack is a great idea. I'll ponder that. Maybe one for each phase, even. Adding riders to the attacks is a...

I don't know if I'm any good at designing monsters

These are the rough drafts of a phased "boss fight" I'll be running for a party of level sevens. Experiences with my custom monsters in the past have ranged from impossibly hard to laughably easy, and I have no idea where this will fall on the difficulty spectrum. I don't necessarily intend for...

Do you "wield" a spiked gauntlet?

I've stopped trying to figure out what it's doing or why. It works for my character at this moment with her current gear, so I'm satisfied for now. Weird, though.

Do you "wield" a spiked gauntlet?

If I thought it was a rules reference, I wouldn't have started the thread - I'd have realized I was wrong and unequipped one of the gauntlets.

Do you "wield" a spiked gauntlet?

Haha, good to know. I'd never tried before. In thread-concluding news, the feat functions properly when I'm wielding a magical gauntlet in one hand and a non-magical gauntlet in the other, so problem solved, I guess. EDIT: Oh, and thanks guys!

Do you "wield" a spiked gauntlet?

...okay, THAT'S just weird. When I'm wielding a club and a dagger, I get the benefit from Brawler Guard, but when I'm wielding two spiked gauntlets, I don't. Guh?

Do you "wield" a spiked gauntlet?

I can't tell if I'm wrong or if the new character builder update is wrong. Here's the thing: I'm playing a brawler who was using two spiked gauntlets. According to Martial Power 2, "your hand is free if you wear a spiked gauntlet," so I easily meet the prerequisites for powers that require a...

    Warden L1 Striker Damage ?

According to the compendium (and my memory), the craghammer is a superior weapon.

    Warden L1 Striker Damage ?

Aren't Crippling Crush and Craghammer Proficiency both feats? To have both at level one, you'd have to be human. Regardless, I think having to spend two feats to accomplish that sort of damage is reasonable. It's not like either of those two things are Warden features.

can i force my own slide power to fizzle?

A power might specify that you HAVE to inflict the forced movement (the only one I can think of is that new sorcerer power that forces a random teleport), but other than that, yeah, you're golden. Keep 'em where you want 'em.
