    Changeover poll

Similar situation to what my group is going through now, only the group consensus wound up being to revert back to 2.5e Skills & Powers for a change of pace. From what I have observed, this will be the second long running group that I have been a part of to hop in the Wayback Machine and return...

    System-free Settings

I have all of the older Loremaster / Shadow World supplements. . . they all contain more than one page of system-specific rules (though they are still an excellent read and a lot of fun). Did the new 4th edition Shadow World stuff drop the Rolemaster stats and such? I don't have any of the 4th...

    Your ideal setting

At this point in time, I would have to say that when it comes to published settings ... I have stuck with Wilderlands of High Fantasy longer than any other setting due to its flexabiity and more open nature. No all powerful NPCs roaming the lands ... at least outside of a few of the larger city...

    System-free Settings

Guess I will put two items up for consideration .... Wilderlands of High Fantasy (Box Set) by Judges Guild/Necromancer Games. Not sure what percentage is 3.5E specific, but I believe most of the rules crunch is in the Player's Guide which is a separate product. Shadow World by I.C.E. ...

Now that 4e is upon us, what will you do?

Well ... since I don't see the option present for what I will most likely be doing ... Time to dust off the Way Back Machine and visit the days of yore ... most likely Wilderlands under either 1E or 2.5E ...

Good 3rd Party replacement city for Greyhawk.

Irillian from White Dwarf Most definitely a city worthy of note and one that will be making an appearance in my Wilderlands campaign at some point in time; although, I have not decided which city it will become in the Wilderlands as of yet ...

    will 4.0 succeed?

I think that 4E will finally push alot of the remaining 1E/2E player base into the present. I think it will have this effect as 4E will finaly push existing 1E/2E players to realise how complex and inconsistent the 1E/2E rule set is. In all honesty, I will not be converting to 4E because it is...

Tell me about the terrain accessories...

Try your local hobby shop that carries model train supplies. For general scenery building Woodland Scenics is carried by most model train stores and often some crafts stores in case there aren't any model train stores nearby. As far as companies go that supply buildings for model trains, might...

4E or 3.5 or something else - what's in your future?

Post 4E Other ... I never moved foward when 3rd edition was introduced, and I have never really cared for the look and feel of 3rd edition. Besides, at the rate I've been filling in the empty holes in my collection of early (x)D&D material, I will have more than enough to draw upon for many...

What's the gaming like un these five towns?

Wow, WereSteve, thanks! You're welcome. I hope this helps get things started. Ouch! In 2001, this was a chain of three stores with locations in Lawrence and Raytown, as well. Not sure when the store in Lawrence closed, but I think Battlezone in Raytown closed sometime in late 2005 or early...

Help me pick out a setting book to purchase

I've got the Thieves World Gazetteer and Player's Guide to the Wilderlands coming to me in the mail, so those are covered (if I like the latter book I'll probably splurge on the box set, which might give me incentive to run a 4ed campaign at some point). The box set for Wilderlands of High...

    Wilderlands - box set and/or player's guide?

Probably wouldn't hurt to keep an eye out on eBay for the Player's Guide. Currently there are four box sets up for sale in different eBay stores. As to 4th edition ... I seriously doubt it will happen primarily due to the poor sales figures for what Necromancer has already released.

    D&D 3E/3.5 Running Wilderlands Campaign- 4e or 3.5?

New versions of the modules from Goodman are handy for attitional background material and expanded sections not included in the originals. For the majority of the modules, the stats can be used from the originals and the rest filled in on an as needed basis. Just a matter of offering more ways...
