Everyone who answered Thanks! I think I will play it as prepared spells would still be able to be used but spontaneously cast spells (like Favored soul) was unuseable. But it does make you wonder? It would be to powerfull a spell at 2nd lvl to be able to nullify all clerical spells.

Buy a DnD mini's starter set (or 4) and take the fold out play mat out and bring it (or all 4) to an office depot and get it laminated. It cost me under $10 Canadian for each one. I use the vis-a-vis markers and even left it on there for 3 weeks and a little water on a taco bell napkin and all...

The other choice he has is to play his cleric (we had only 3 players with 2 characters each) which is 4th lvl and level him up to 7th in cleric or any other class. I may convince him to go this route as after 5th level Paladin the other class have more to offer. Thanks guys.................

We are playing 3.0 (I know we are buying the books slowly) and it's a home grow campaign. I did not know that Paladins can't multiclass after they start multiclassing. Is that under the multiclass rules? Plus thanks for the replies on what to do.
