Hobbit in a bag: The trouble with extradimensional spaces

C'mon, I think we all know that a halfling would slide in there like a greased scotsman in a ventilation duct.

How Often Does Your Group Cast Stoneskin?

I've found the spell absolutely invaluable in large scale combat situations. The more hits you take, the more you "save", so to speak.

Good sorcerers can't cast [Evil] spells!

That was, in fact, the joke. Entirely. ;) Oh, and according to page 8 of the Book of Vile Darkness, casting an evil spell IS an evil act.

    Stoneskin

Shatter is a 2nd level spell, with a chip of mica as the material componant. I think it'll be pretty easy for me to make diamond dust :)

Rope Trick vs. Leomund's Tiny Hut and better.

Sure, it MIGHT be able to house a few characters for a night, but what about STYLE? Which would you rather spend the night in, a featureless hole in the sky, or an extradimensional mansion? Rope trick be damned!

Hobbit in a bag: The trouble with extradimensional spaces

You tackle a halfling and shove him in your bag of holding. Then you use your dagger to pop said bag. What happens to the halfling? Alive? Dead? Lost in another dimension? If so, which? How hard, precisely, would it be to reverse the condition?

    Stoneskin

Yeah, as the fighter and pretty much only tank of the group, I <3 Stoneskin, and use it frequently.

Good sorcerers can't cast [Evil] spells!

I agree with Li Shenron on this one. Clerical speels get handed down directly from a diety, and I've always proceeded under the concept that, since clerics cast spells largely through a connection with their god, the spells have to be something within one alignment step, much like the clerics...

    Paladin build help

Honestly, a good Pally is one of the best tanks in the game. Just 5-foot step back and use Lay on Hands on yourself whenever you get in trouble. If you max out charisma, this can extend your life by literally hundreds of hp at high levels.

    Super Heroes

I agree with Shilsen here. If a lvl20 fighter can take a fall from a hundred foot cliff with a smile, congrats, he's really a superhero.

The Doomed Bastards: Reckoning (story complete)

I'd be willing to bet that Zosimos isn't stupid enough to just walk in blasting.

Teleport (of death!), object or greater

Huh...does this mean that you cannot, even willingly, teleport to the bottom of the sea, or the middle of the volcano?

    Druid feats....what do I take?

Might I suggest spending a feat on Spontaneous Healer from complete divine? You'll need to spend four skill points into Knowledge: Religion, but then you can spontaneously convert a number of spells equal to your wisdom bonus into cure spell that are on your spell list. It essentially means that...

Area spells and evasion in closed rooms

Taken directly from the SRD So yes, while according to the laws of physics, the rogue should be caught in the explosion. Fortunately, evasion breaks those laws (darn rogues, always breaking laws!), so you can safely ignore the thought that the rogue SHOULD be caught in the blast. This all...

How do you rule on invisible weapons?

There is an easy way to test the "Do you need to see the weapon to effectively know it's range?" question. It's something we do at the dojo all the time called "learning your reach". You swing your sword (or in our case at the dojo, your staff) at the target, until you barely strike it. Then you...

    Battle vs. Frenzied Berserker

Yeah, either you give everyone in the party in INT check to realize what this thing is and what it can do, or you are looking at several dead party members at the least, and possibly a TPK. If they know what it is, they might have a chance.

    What would you Play?

Take a level of Battle Sorcerer, then four levels of barbarian. Then go Dragon Disciple. 16 in strength and con, 11 in cha, divide up the rest however you want. Sure, it isn't a TRUE tank, but you'll have a crap-ton of hp, and be strong enough to do pretty much anything you want, melee-wise...

Which Is The Stronger Character Class - Sorcerer or Wizard?

I'll throw in my hat on this debate. If it is a game with plenty of downtime, and the pace is generally determined by the players, then the wizard is MUCH more powerful. He'll usually be able to have his more rarely used utility spells scribed onto scrolls, and he'll almost certainly have his...

The Doomed Bastards: Reckoning (story complete)

*grin* It would be interesting to have a wizard as competant as his requisite intelligence might suggest. I suspect Zosimos might not be dead QUITE yet.

    wepon companion

Ancestral weapon out of BoED can be kinda cool. A great feat to center a storyline around.
