Why do all paladins, monks, and druids seem exactly the same?

Now there is a typical monk if I ever heard of one in any campaign that actually allows vow of poverty.

Whould you buy a system-free setting?

If I were to buy a new setting, which I am not in the market for now, or in the forseeable future, I would want it to be d20. In fact I would love to see a d20 world with a lot of the standard prestige classes assigned niches in the world. I.E. a world built around the d20 ruleset.

    Early Ultimate Magus, Yes?

And of course someone has to bring in the other cheesy Illumian/Practiced spellcaster cheese tothe table. Man I get tired of people who onbly can read the letter ofthe rules when it benefits their character. Practiced spellcster and such are obviously not intended to give CL in this way, jsut...

    Order of the Stick #412

A Campaign With a Silly (But Interesting) Twist

It is bad enough when the players make bad jokes and metagame, but when the DM make a bad joke part of the campaign and metagames, it is not fun for me.

Would You Play In This Campaign?

I would consider playing, but I would worry the DM had bit off way more then they could chew. No offense, but when I join online gmaes, wide-open character creation is a big red flag for me. Most of thsoe games fold in a big hurry due tp DMAbsentitis. On the other hand, DMs who restrict options...

D&D 3E/3.5 Deepwood Sniper PrC - How Easy To Use In a 3.5E Game?

One of my characters is using it in a 3.5 game, and I made no changes. It seems perfectly fine 3.0 or 3.5

Please help me with this class of items for Monks

Well, personally I would not allow the Bracers of Striking at all. Monks already get huge damage with their fists, no needto allow them to have all the weapon effects aslo. Same with Bracers of armor for me. You want armor special abilities, buy armor. But at the least I would say 1.5 times as...

    Build: I Got Peeps!

No, since most of their othher spells have no real save : Sure, the orb spells have a secondary effect, but who cares? You need it for the Augmetn summong spell, which is worth it with yoru build.

DM's: How many PC's do you kill per campaign?

Need to define a campaign., I think. For me, there are few deaths, and most of the time resurrections are common, or at least happen. I find myself less willingto bring people back froteh brink of death, and if the characters screw up, then they can die. Orsometimes they jsut fightthings too...

    Build: I Got Peeps!

Personally I would trade your familiar for another ability ASAP. I am not a fan of familiars, and some of the abilities you can get are very very sweet.

    MetaMagic sorcerer

Actually no. The PHBII jsut lets them ignroe the increased casting time for a few spells a day., Arcane Preparation(a feat in Complete Arcane, I think) allows them to memorize spells and thus cast them with no increased casting time. Anotehr feat in Complete Mage, available at level 9, allows...

How many of you came close to selling off your stuff?

Never D&D stuff, but I sold all my magic cards and have no regretted it an instant the last 5 years or so. I still have a lot of 1E, 2E and newer stuff. Finding it in my storage might be a trick though.

    D&D 4E Posting 4E Questions for 4E Play-Tests?

So all the "What does XXX eat" threads means a food sourcebook is coming out? Didn't see it on the schedule at WOTC. Msut be 3rd party. Seriously, once a topic comes up on these boards, it spawns other threads like crazy, add in all the cross board posters and it spreads around all over the place.

    Half-Ogre Level Adjustment

Reach, larger weapons, and such makes for a good advantage. Don't you think the plus to strength makes up for the BAB and power attack? I sure do. +6 strength more than takes care of the BAB, and 3 of the four Power atack. Not bad.
