    Four doses of Repelling Blast would effectively knock a target back far enough that it may not be able to reach you next turn for melee. Plus it would be an awfully cool visual.

    I should be receiving my PHB today from Amazon, so my current 5E impression is based solely on the free PDF's and various previews. My group is currently playing in 13th Age, and I have both the Bestiary and the 13 True Ways books. I agree 5E played it a bit too safe, but that's holding it up...

    D&D 5E The Potion of Healing

    It seems it's every DM's job to come up with a challenge for the PC's, but ultimately to allow them to "win" if they play well. Do the potions in the starter game make it too easy? With what I've read of some TPK's, I'm not sure it is.
