    [Scarred Lands] Ashes & Wormwood

Great start, definitely looking forward to more.

    The Bitter Edge: Any Interest?

By all means, share. The Heretic of Wyre is a great story due to your creativity and writing, and the talented players involved. I'd probably want to read the tale if you were running a Smurf campaign with this bunch.

Too quiet at the Privateer Press camp

This was originally posted by Etien Staroscik on the Privateer Press mailing list (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Iron_Kingdoms) on June 20, 2002, in response to a question about the Monsternomicon.

    The Heretic of Wyre

And still more praise. I don't know about anyone else, but I'd give an eyetooth to be a fly on the wall at one of these gaming sessions. If they're half as entertaining to play as they are to read, Sepulchrave could sell tickets.

    The Heretic of Wyre

Campaign setting? I apologize if you've clarified this point in previous threads, but I was wondering about your campaign setting. I played in a PBeM you ran a while back set in the Blasted Lands and was wondering if the current tale is set in the same. Or have the Blasted Lands been...

    Companies on the Edge...

Re: On the edge? Now this really gets to the heart of my question. If a gaming group does not have all of the information they need to have (or at least the information they feel they need to have) to run a campaign in a given published setting, wouldn't they necessarily start up the game in...

    Charisma, still the poor stat!

This, I think, is an excellent question. 3e has done an admirable job of trying to make Charisma a worthwhile attribute, but it's still essentially a dumping ground. It's not earth-shattering or anything, but I really like the take on Charisma I found at the World of Kyri website...

    What's up at Privateer Press

*bump* Kinda curious about this myself.

A world without gods, where clerics worship demon princes (armies of the abyss)

I'd definitely be interested in following this setting's development. Where's the best place to look for news? Here? Thanks, Harp

A world without gods, where clerics worship demon princes (armies of the abyss)

Interesting stuff. Just out of curiosity, Erik, are you talking about a campaign setting for a game of your own, or is this the potentially to-be-published setting you alluded to in the 'low magic setting' thread on the d20 Publisher's forum? Or both? Gotta admit, I'm mightily intrigued...

    So Where is...

The last I heard (in a March 24th announcement by Matt Wilson on the Privateer Press mailing group) is that we should expect the Monsternomicon in June. Their webpage reflects that estimate. Whether that’s been revised or not since then, I can’t say.

    Guide to the Iron Kingdoms?

    Dragon Magazine #294

Yeah, I brought this very concern up in another thread. My issue isn't so much that I don't like the gods having stats, it's that the more mundane aspects of gods (cult details, day-to-day activities of the clergy, various myths) seem to have gotten lost in the push to add gods to the Fight...

    Greyhawk information?!

I don't think I'm hijacking this post with my question, but if so, I apologize in advance. One of the minor knocks I have against LGG is that it doesn't give the gods of the Greyhawk pantheons a full 'Faiths & Avatars' style treatment. Granted, the full list of Greyhawk gods is exhaustive, and...

[PR] Privateer Press Announces WAR MACHINE

Actually, this brings me to my question. I'm a huge fan of the Iron Kingdoms, but I'm not a war gamer at all. I'm not trying to rain on any parades here, but how much has War Machine set back the already oft-delayed Monsternomicon (even its preview) and the Guide to the IK book?

[GR PR] Armies of the Abyss Preview

Well, having enjoyed 'Legions of Hell' as much as I have, it should be no surprise that I'm greatly intrigued by the 'Armies of the Abyss' preview. I do have a question, though. What's the relationship between Astaroth and Diabolus? Are they just two names for the same being? It's probably...
