I'd simply say that any time they sleep the forced march time limit (8 hours) is reset. As a result not sleeping means that any traveling the next day is added to the time traveled the previous day. Example: PC's A and B travel 8 hours in one day, PC A sleeps normally but PC B doesn't sleep so...
