More on Swordmages
1) Yes, the Moathouse in the adventure IS the ToEE moathouse - some a Beatiful cleric even makes a special appearance... ;)
2) The Swordmage is a Dwarf, with the following attributes:
STR 12
CON 19
DEX 10
INT 17
WIS 14
CHA 08
2)The basic attack:
+1 longsword / +7 vs. AC...
I just received the RPGA adventure "Return to the Moathouse" (by Mike Mearls), which I ´m going to DM at a local event... and there IS playable SWORDMAGE character, AND a half-orc NPC...
< Ok, the half-orc NPC is useless, as a fountain of information, as it is also a "half-elemental" creature...
So, after reading many a thread (here and in other sites) from early PHB buyers, I noticed something: apparently, they made some "last minute changes" in the rules - making null some of the earlier previews - preview books included - and even some material discusses at Gamer Radio 0 interviews...
The Power of expectations
Here is my take: Using the PHB_4E_Lite and the Experience characters, I DMed a version of the "Sunless Citadel" 3.0 adventure, to 6 players - that don´t even know EnWorld exists, and had no expectations (good or bad) about 4E.
Planning the adventure, as a DM was...
Someone else noticed that the 4E Powers (Exploits, Spells, Prayers) can be seen as "Fluff covers" to "Crunch level-based maths"? That is, the presentation of a given power has no real importance (to game balance) - that all that means, in pure game terms is the powers "mathematical" effects...
Ok, so this is no 4th Ed news...but still is great news.
The trailer for the Dragonlance upcoming animated movie - presented at GenCon and DragonCon - is now (finally) for evebody to see at Youtube:

It´s made from pre-production scenes, and...
What is the "heart" of the Forgotten Realms
James Wyatt said at his blog (about the 4thEd FR):
"We think you folks will enjoy the story of the transitions, the fantastic events that have changed the face of the world—but not its heart."
This makes one think: WHAT is the heart of the Forgotten...
It´s from Brazil, but it´s Anime...
Well, here in Brazil we have a D20 Scenario called "Holy Avenger" - it´s a very typical fantays scenario, but that´s 100% certified Anime art - damn, the pencilers name is Erika Awano...
See below some of the art of Holy Avenger:
...about 4th Edition is this: "remember that nothing is complete or final until you buy the book in the store."
Where I found this comment? Here: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/rs/20030527a&pf=true
All the 3.5 "Revision Spotlights" sported this comment, and it´s not only still valid...
No one noticed...
..that the "helmed warrior", "red halfling", "axe-wielding dwarf" and "blond elf maid" are REGDAR, LIDDA,TORDEK and MIALEE (the D&D Iconics) in their new, revamped, 4ed version?
The "Days of Future Past" possibility
< First post ever at EnWorld! >
Well, there IS another (very interesting) possibility: that this "Realms of the Future" may not come to be - that, in a sense, this is like the "Days of Future Past" storyline form the X-Men comics, the classic "imperfect...
