    Hence why I'm not really worried about the possibility. I think by the time the decision has to be made, it'll be obvious that the class isn't ridiculous. I've also pointed out to him that when I grow wings, I'll essentially have to buy all new armor, which is pretty expensive!

    I'd agree with your ruling and your logic. I think standing up from sitting in a chair is more like dismounting a horse than it is standing up from prone. Not that it's exactly like either, but I think the mount/dismount rules are the closest parallel.

    I would make a situational ruling based on the source of the damage reduction: If the conceptual source of the DR is akin to fast healing, falling damage would be negated. DR from, say, wearing adamantine armor - maybe not.

    Per the fabrication spell, magic items cannot be transmuted, so I think I'd agree with you in this case. Were it just a suit of nonmagical armor or somesuch, I think I'd lean towards it getting transmuted along with the dirt/wood/whatever it's buried in.
